Abe Sadayo is versatile to say the least!! I only just realised he was in Unfair!! I wondered where I recognised his face from! Laugh

Talk about a Jack of all trades! His character in Dare yori mo mama wo aisu is funny and miles apart from his character in Unfair. He plays the character just right - funny and loud, without being too annoying.

Gekidan Hitori is funny too. He made me laugh in Stand up!!

Cant wait to see future episodes, this show is so good and the cast is great! I love every character except the Mum. I haven't really taken to her - she doesn't feature much does she?

The kid that plays Kaoru is great too.

AWWW YEAH!!

Pinko and Yamashita-san are cool characters, very funny! Yamashita-san is such a dumb-ass!!! The character that dude played in Stand up!! made me laugh too: The dude in the restaurant who always used to wear tight hot pants under his apron. Laugh

And how different does Abe Sadayo look! I didn't realised he played an officer in Unfair! He looks SO much different as Pinko.

This is such a great show and I'm likin' Tsunami-san as well, she's just cool. I've already gone and downloaded episodes 5 and 6 and even without the subs yet, they've got me hooked!!!

This is definetely the "Coming out" episode. *lol*

It was clear from the off-set, but we finally get an admission and hear it from the horses mouth that Pinko loves men and Akira finally shows that he's not all nice and (even though he was harsh) that he can be honest and frank with somebody and tell them how he feels.

I think it's cool that this episode (or the drama itself) involves and deals with a gay character. It's not something I've ever seen tackled in a Japanese drama before. I also think it's cool how frank characters are about it. With Pinko openly saying at the table that he loves men and Akira calling him a fag. I'm not saying that calling somebody a fag is cool *lol* - But the way that it is a true representation of how narrow minded and careless somebody can be to just throw a comment like that at somebody - disregarding their feelings and the harshness of their words.

A really good episode. Well executed.

sayochama, i just skimmed through the subs and i think you did a great job on this episode...
what with the puns and highlighting pinko's change in speech patterns, everything was done hella great! Laugh

i love japanese puns, but damn... whenever one comes up in a translation... Fear

if you hadn't chosen to do this drama, this is one i would definitely choose to do...
...although i'd be much slower and wouldn't be even remotely as good in translating... :p

more ppl really should be watching this drama... Mad
