Thanks sub team...
I don't get it. In the book, the "condor" is described to be a giant eagle. Even the Legend of the Condor Heroes, Guo Jing shot two EAGLES (not condors) with one arrow. The pair of white "condors" in the Return of the Condor Heroes are eagles. I'm pretty sure in the book, the author mentions eagles and never condors. I know that TVB was the first to twist the title of the novels and use the term "condor" instead of eagle, but that was a long time ago. Shouldn't future productions correct this by now?
Plus, eagles are a beautiful group of birds that are prized and known for their excellent hunting abilities. Condors, on the other hand, are ugly and known for eating carrion. All the more reason why Jin Yong would choose eagle over condor.
On a side note, I'm not Chinese. I only read English translations of the novels, and that's what i'm going by. Are the Chinese words for "eagle" and "condor" interchangeable and mean the same thing, cuz they are two different birds.
