hello...
im new to this program..
i just downloaded this
i read from the guide from videohelp that for input files, i choose the flv.file
but why cant i choose flv files ?
when i klik browse (for input), message box will appear
and i try to locate my flv files
but this only shows me video files
and under type of files, there none choice other than "video files'
so how can i use this program to convert flv to avi??

thank you

after you select your input file a destination vides file will pop up. it will say fro exaple:
nameofyourmovie.flv
you change the flv part into avi, mpeg, wmv, or whatever(i havn't tried all of them yet) and then you press the ---->flv encode button
you can change the information on the right side to get better qualities. i usually use
Video:
movie size
640x480
framerate
25
bitrate
768

audio:
bitrate
112
sampleing rate
44100hz

that seemed to work good for me. the result has almost the sam quality and is at a reasonable size.

Ok....step by step guide it is then...

1. Install Firefox.
2. Install Grease Monkey: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/extensions/greasemonkey/greasemonkey-0.6.4-fx.xpi
3. Install script. Rename attached file extension to ".js"
4. Open file in browser. Click to install.
5. Thats it.

If you still cant get it to work then u really need to look into how to use a pc. When I was told about this all I was told was GM and that was it, nothing more.
There are other ways to do it, this way works for me best.

the script above stopped working for me for some reason, even after updating it. They changed the way the call back is done for the file.

I am using http://keepvid.com/ which is much easier to use...give it a go
