I have to say, the outcome of this series was very dissappointing. It kept me interested in the first 12 episodes or so... then it totally gets dull. Thanks to Calcifer though, without such great translations it would have been worse.

My rating: 5/10. Decent story, but it tends to repeat itself way too much. Love this, love that, love can be used to kill people. Gets to the poine where it is very corny. Way too much computer graphics, should have stayed as a computer game. Fighting scenes weren't that great and not many after the first few episodes. Guess it was just to get people hooked. Good acting overall. However, the ending and the last 10 episodes or so... bleh, everything went downhill. I couldn't sit and watch one episode through, way too much talk about nothing. Just my 2 cents.

Thank you Ruroshin, for batching this series (or any series). I have always been a fan of batched files whether as a seeder or downloader. Talking about which, urgh! it's a torture trying to get all 28 eps of Fashion 70's (now under VSS).

Just finished Xian Jian and I want to say it is great great great! If not for the drag drag drag, it would have been greater. Acting OK, Eye Candy wow! and OST is unparrelled (even by Korean standards, where I thought was where the greatest was). Story is also OK (believe in fantasy and you believe or enjoy anything!). I had to watch the series twice to really appreciate/understand the whole story. Biggest drawback was the pace. The 34 eps could be toned down to 28 and there would still be room to spare. Jjust cut off a few demon encounters. The first 16 eps were OK paced since they were story development. The series started to get addictive for me only from eps 17 onwards but quickly fizzled out after eps 21. Nevertheless, these 3 or 4 eps (eps 17-20) made up for all the pain and drag. They were simply hilarious, beautiful and sad. The great love story also unfolded ("to love is not to have" and "rather than love, understand"). It was painful watching Xiao Yao turning to Ru'er (eps 21-26) after being rejected again and again by Ling'er. I have no quarrel with the ending since I believe in giving the director or writer artistic freedom. The ending is in sync with the philosophical slant of the series - all those ruminations about Dao or The Way (you really have to watch the series at least twice). At the end, the priest touched Xiao Yao's head I believe to feel how much pain this man was suffering. The priest had left his love on their wedding night, while XY lost his wife and best friends!

Overall, I rate this series beautiful and the OST divine. The OST really lifted the series to haunting.

A must watch. Nevermind about draggy - you can always use your FF button.

Um....Im looking to only download eps 33 and 34 but I use ABC...which I believe doesnt let you choses which files you want to and want not to download from a batch....so can anyone offer any other suggestions????? please????...... Crying

I got a question. I use Bittornado, I got a batch file, and only want one or two episode. So I went to the "Details", and choose "Download Never" to those files that I don't want. For some reason, Bittornado downloaded everything (all eps in the batch including those that I chose not to dl) into into one huge file instead of separate files, causing over 1 GB in that one file and of course it got error and wouldn't work. I don't know why it won't just DL the ones that I want separately.
Anybody experienced this before?? any ideas or suggestions on how to get this fixed? I am quite new with Bittornado. THANKS in advance.... !!

It would be great to put some spolier warning before you say someone is goign to die ..Please think before you post.
