I'm having a problem with the audio while I'm converting the AVI file from softsub to hardsubbed. The audio is not in sync with the movements of the mouths and stuff, is there a way to fix this? I'm sorry if this topic was already covered. The actual film itself is also very iffy, it isn't as smooth as other AVIs I've done. I know this topic was brought up before and sorry for bringing it up again, but when I read the responses towards it, I honestly didn't understand what to do or how to fix it. Is there a way to fix it? Or do I just have to search for an AVI file with a different audio type thingy? Thanks and sorry.
[[ Thanks for this thread btw, it's helped me a lot! ]]

Hi Smile
I was wondering if anyone else has a problem with an AVI video when they resize it in VirtualDubMod. When I resize videos that are compressed using Divx 5. 0(I have Divx 6.2.0.) the coloring comes out blocky.

Usually when I resize videos that were compressed with Xvid, I have great picture. So I was wondering if the coloring has anything to do with the codec used to compress it scratch

I don't know what to do. I got this message when I tried to open the video in virtualdubmod.

Couldn't locate decompressor for format 'DIV3' (Microsoft High-Speed
MPEG-4 V3 [Hack: DivX Low-Motion]).
VirtualDub requires a Video for Windows (VFW) compatible codec to
decompress video. DirectShow codecs, such as those used by Windows Media
Player, are not suitable. Only 'Direct stream copy' is available for this
video.

I tried looking in other forums and none could break it down for me on basic terms that I can understand. The tutorial was nice, I just have to get past this to get to the next step. I've downloaded the nimo codec, divx3.11, avisynth, and God knows what else to try to decompress this - but all the forums say is to "do" whatever I downloaded but not what to do or how to run them so I can get to the next step. HELP!! Crying Unsure Blink Goggle eyes

Hi Yukino Miyazawa,

The error message is letting you know you don't have the codec installed. I think it's called MPEG4 Codec Compressor, or something like that.
