Ii'm not really disapointed with the cast, it's not that bad, and until i haven't seen the acting, i won't judge...But i'm so happy they made it into a drama as i'm really fond of the manhwa x3
Let's wait till 11th january <3

i love goong!!...i can't wait till the they show the drama!!!...please do let me know when it can be download and when they put english sutitles. Thanks!....i read up to vol 8 ch 1!!!!...and i love it....it's so sad they're gonna stop!!!!...the cast is okay!!!...the person they choose for shin don't quite fit the character but if you look at him closely and for a while, he does look good. hehehehehe....

As for the castings, I really wanted Hyun bin to play the role of Shin and Lee wan to be Yul...the 2 cuties Wub

thank god it wasn't LDG hehe...too old
younger bloods are needed for such shows
main main lead isn't all shin in looks compared to manga..but it's hard to find good lookers in real life...lol...
i like HERO ^^ or wonbin will be nice Wub

hehe i agree, young blood is needed =) have you checked out the new cast yet? the more i look at the character playing yul, the more he reminds me of won bin in some angles =)

They're not that young. If the dates I've read are right, the guy playing Yul is 25 going 26 years old(older than LDG by a few months). Joo Ji Hoon(Shin) is 23 years old. Yoon Eun Hye(Chae Gyung) is 21 years old.
And their characters are playing high school kids. Roll Eyes But for most of them, Goong would be their debut drama, and we haven't seen them act on other older roles like LDG or Won Bin, so they wouldn't look as awkward to be seen playing younger roles.
As long as they put on a school uniform and add those Asian faces to go with, we get high schoolers....royal high school kids, for that matter.

On second thought, I thought Kim Jung Hoon(Yul) looked the youngest among the bunch(18~19), and I was surprised to find out he is that old(25)...

Oh gosh, Shin is totally NOT what I imagined he would be! And he's not HOT! Big Smile Okay, he looks hot in the picture hinako442003 posted in the first page, but based on the other ones I find the actor playing Yul hotter than him. Big Smile Buuut, if he turns out to be one fine actor, it'll definitely be alright with me. Can't wait to see this subbed!

EDIT: Actually, I wouldn't have minded LDG playing Shin, since I can see him pulling off the 'hot prince' thing. But I have to agree that it would be a bit hard to comfortably imagine him as a highschool student because of his former 'police investigator' and 'company manager' roles.

i think its good that they r using new casts, at least we get fresh looks plus we wont lk associate them with other previous characters thy've played...

I've been helping scanlate this manhwa for over 2 years now!! (for korean-movies aka korean-manhwa scanlations group )I'm really excited about the drama! Hopefully it will be as good as the manhwa or even better *Crosses finger*
