A really good album (so I think) is the Casshern Soundtrack which is rock/pop. Since it's an OST you can check which songs you like and follow up on the artists.
I got Gackts (Don't know a lot about him - first album I got of his because I heard it's jrock) new album which is kind of rocky

I love Jrock! But with all music, there are good and bad bands/artists. Here are my top recommendations:
L'Arc~en~Ciel (my favorite band, not just in Jrock)
Luna Sea
Siam Shade
Pierrot
Janne Da Arc
Sads
X Japan
Porno Graffitti
The Brilliant Green
B'z (They are classic! They've been around since the 80's, which is amazing! But many Jrock fans do not know of them or listen to them, since many non-Japanese Jrock fans tend to be fangirls, and only like bands/artists who are pretty boys, and B'z are all men in their 40's, so they do not care for them.....It's so sad too, because they are very talented!)
Glay
Rumania Montevideo (She's not very well known....)
I do not like a lot of Jpop, but I do like some of Aya Ueto's music and Judy And Mary._________________
