The last time I was in Japan, I happened to catch a police/crime/law drama on television that I could not identify.
Although I do not remember the station or what type of show it was, the protagonist appeared to be a young (mid to late 30s?) detective with curly hair and a single Band-Aid that changed locations on his face throughout the episode. I'm unsure if this was just for the episode or if it was a series-long running gag.
When the detective went to his apartment, he also appeared to have a young (tween-teen) girl living with him. He did not seem to be married, so I'm guessing either his wife died or he's looking after his neice (or something like that).
I hope these clues are enough.. I don't remember anything else, really, except some vague interrogation scenes that might be from a different series. If I recall anything else I'll post again..
Thanks in advance for any help!

depending on how long ago your trip was...it could be two choices...
if it was just a couple of years ago, then its Bengoshi no Kuzu that you were probably watching..silly law comedy/drama show
if it was considerably longer ago than that...then its possibly Tantei Monogatari, which unfortunately i haven't seen but i am told that it has similarities to bengoshi no kuzu

Hi all, I apologise in advance for the utter vagueness of this post, my memory's failed me. I would have given more info otherwise:
I'm looking for the name of this drama I watched at least ten to fifteen years ago, and it's about these two brothers who work together in an office (IIRC) and the only clue I can give is that in the last episode, the younger brother faints in the middle of an argument with officemates(?) and the older brother carries him around on his back. And that's all I can remember really.
If anyone has any idea what I'm talking about, you're one hell of a person. Thanks.

thank god for finding this thread.
ok, the drama that i want to know more is from 80s. maybe late 80s. because i saw it in 1990 and dubbed version. at that time i had to change place where i live. went to another country to live, i really wanted to see its ending or if i had a chance, know how does it end. this is a 19 years old question.
as far as i remember is to due with a girl called Hikari (hikaru?) or very similar name. i can't really remember the time of that drama but something to do with ww1 or 2? any, she was kind of tomboyish girl that did lots of mischief. not a poor family. and then she was kind of engaged to this boy who used to work for her dad?
but she falls in love with her new teacher with long samurai hair and i think is called matsunomi. then the family marry off her younger sister to another village were she has a kind and die later on.
as far her romance with the teacher, he leaves after finding out that she has feeling for him and then the boy who she is promised to kind of gets angry (but he is one of the good guys) and after her sister death she decides to study ....
oh, and it has a similar setting as Oshin
that is how much i remember. if anyone knows, please let me know. i will be grateful

Erm, my sister saw this drama on TBS or Fuji TV, around Spring 2008 season, (because I remember watching Last Friends then)
and it had this one scene where there was a shower scene, where a guy was in the shower. The room where he was showering in was big, and she says it was either a big bathroom or a locker room. The guy had spiky hair, or so my sister says, so i think she means he had short hair. And, a girl walks in.
D: These clues suck, but yeah my sister wants to know. o___o
and it's killing me too.

well I want to know the name of a japanese drama but I have not many details...^^"
so I think it's about a (new) male teacher at a school and he wants to open a choir club or something, first no one's coming to the club, then there is a girl singing alone, then a boy too and then more and more 'til it is a hole class singing. And I know the song they're singing all the time is 'Heidenröslein' by the Austrian composer Schubert.
well that's all xD
It would be great if someone could me! <3
Thanks so much in advance! <3

| Anybody know the name of the show that just finished on Fuji TV last week? It came on at 1:30 Japan time. It looked like it was set in the early 50s or so, and involved what looked like two single mothers: a wealthier one living with her family, and a poorer one who worked as her maid. And they each had a young daughter: wealthy daughter named Ayumi, poor daughter named Junko. There's also a caddish dude scheming on the wealthy mother. Half hour long, tons of emotion, I quite enjoyed it even though the nuances of the plot escaped me.
