well all u have to do since u've already got the Windows Media Classic is just to rename the file from filename.rm to filename.rmvb
that should make the subs work,and don't worry renaming the file type won't affect the video file hope that would help
Hi! I've been uninstalling and installing all my video players for like 6 hours because I cannot load the subtitle to an .rm file! I was googling when I saw this post. Thanks very much for your help!

Choose "Lots of stuff" option during the install. Then play your movie file with the Media Player Classic they supplied.
