Thanks so much for doing this show and finishing off all the episodes.
I finally got around to watching the later episodes, and had a question about the last scene of the final episode. Did anyone figure out the last scene?

Who's stuff is it in the back of the car, that's about to have their funeral? The glasses, book, etc. It seems important, because Momoko says "Masaka, ne.." ("Couldn't be...") but I don't recognize the glasses or personal effects from any of the other characters. So... whose funeral were they getting ready for? Just curious!

Hmmm here's my take on that...

I don't think there's any real significance to the items, she's just wondering if she'll get zapped back in time again, to relive another day and save another person. Though since she doesn't seem to know anything about the person who died, I don't know how she could be expected to change their circumstances & save them, but anyway, that's what I thought it was.

Wow. I finally got around to watching the last three episodes, and I have to say, the final two were--by far--the best of the lot. I found the second one was particularly touching, while still keeping the comedic aspects pretty strong.
As for the finale...
I think it would have been stronger if Otomo had died. (Speaking of "Otomo"--did we ever learn why/how his name got changed?). The symmetry would have worked out nicely, particularly if the bit in the preview was true (about the last episode being the last supernatural time-jumping). The other thing I didn't like is sort of in the same vein--the little revelation between Otomo and Momoko's father. It was hugely important, so retconning the whole thing leaves me with a bit of a bitter taste.
And am I the only one that thought Momoko'd transfer her "powers" to the little girl?
Oh, well, minor gripes aside, it was very enjoyable. The other drama of the similar premise (previewed in the finale), Mirai Koshi Meguru, I found to be much less appealing. Well, I'm off now to check out Taiyo to Umi no Kyoshitsu. Not so much because I thought Kitogawa Keiko's acting was great... but because for some reason I really dug those odd sounds she made when she hit her head.
