While usually there are no real major manzai/comdey events in the summer, this year they decided to do a Dream Match Wakate Geinin Special.

** Synopsis **

Dream Match is an owarai battle between manzai combi. NO!! This is not the M-1 Grand Prix! There is a twist to all this! The duos themselves are split apart between tsukkomi and boke and have to do a neta with someone from another duo which is decided by "feeling couple"

After the new combis are set, they have to write a neta and perform in front of an audience and judges. Whoever had the best neta wins 5,000,000yen! (Half of the M-1 Grand Prix amount) ( *** For this special, there is no prize!!***)
The participants are USUALLY all veterans too with 10 years or more experience with the same aikata (partner). This special is different.

The show aired for 2 hours of length.

The pairs are made by a "love match game" where the boke and the tsukkomi have to both choose each other to be paired up. Quite funny!
