as for yakuza role, for me best ever Yakuza is ONLY & ONLY baby's role. plus, mabo has this much softer face that can't be taken as seriously as babe in there, sorry, i am just SO BIASED to babe. can't be helped.

I'm a little confused - the programme where they run around Tokyo finding good restaurants - what's it called? Dash? I'd be interested to watch it, for Nagase, and because I'd be keen to learn about some good restaurants in Tokyo!

yeap. that was The Tetsuwan DASH!.. but that's not all they do every episode. LOL
They have different activities ranging from planting in DASH Village to making pizza using raw materials they've produced themselves (TOKIO-made tomato sauce, and TOKIO-made cheese!).. from Nagase hunting to playing with Jackie Chan.. from taking care of animals to traversing country to country with only 3000 steps~

It's a fun show.. too bad my dL powers don't permit me to dL them every week.

I really like tetsuwan dash as well. Although most episodes are about the dash village where they do interesting stuff like make their own glass from sand, cheese from fresh milk etc, or travelling around different parts of japan in their solar powered car.
Nagase seldom appears in dash though. Maybe he's too busy? It's usually leader, yamaguchi or taichi.
You might want to also watch mentore-g as well, cos they definately feature at least 3 dishes of yummy food from different restaurants per episode.
I have to look through my old episodes of dash to see if i have that one with the bicycles.

Filming of that movie started January this year, and sources say that it is to be released on Spring of 2oo9.
Besides a few clips earlier this year, I wasn't able to hear anything else about it.
I don't know if the filming's over or what.
The film's based on a German film and is headed by a very reputable director.

I listened to the new single (thanx to emmy21... and welcome dear!) but I have to listen to it without the drama over... for now the only thing I can say is... I like it
and another thing I have to say is... I finally start watching IWGP, so... be prepared to have my opinion at every episodes sorry for bother you all

let's start first thing I want to say is that when I went to japan I stayed in a ryokan in Ikebukuro West!!!!! unfortunately the drama was filmed in a different zone but... I enjoyed Ikebukuro really much! it's a beautiful place to stay, so if you need some hint I can suggest the ryokan I choose ;)
I liked the first episode, I like our Babe when he act as a bad guy with golden heart *__*
And I like also the presence of Ken Watanabe *__* OMG is a great actor!!! I laughed a lot when I saw Yamapi... I really don't like him sorry to his fandom, he seems a frog to my eyes...
And Mako-chan get arrested in the first ep!!!! now I'm waiting to see him cry...
So... my first impression is YATTA! another goooood Babe's drama *__*
I'll write again as soon as I watch the second ep... ;)

I still think that the 15 year old YamaPi is the cutest, tho. LOL

IWGP is really an amazing amazing drama.. While it might not catch other ppl's tastes, it is nothing short of amazing. Kudo Kankuro (<-- i love every drama he has ever written that I've watched!!), Tsumabuki Satoshi, (you are right-->) Ken Watanabe (amazing actor), Tsukamoto Takashi, Yosuke Kubozuka (<-- another talented actor..), and of course, need I mention my two favourtie idols, Yamashita Tomohisa, and Nagase Tomoya.
Tomoya crying is something I find so unbearable, and beautiful at the same time~
In all the doramas that I've watched him in.. He always does cry..

@ naki: cry and get arrested are the two facts that always happens to Babe in his drama (or better, in the dramas I watched till today: MBMH, Ringu, L&E, Mukodono 2001) so, it's not like I want to see him cry 'cause my heart hurts when he's sad... but I guess if he'll cry also in IWGP ^^

@ naki:not again!!!! I have to say that I'm waiting for italian subs (Kallista's fansub group is translating this drama so... I'm waiting) 'cause I watched 10 minutes of first episode and Babe was speaking soooo fast! With italian sub it will be much easier :p
My goal is to watch every drama/movie Babe did... but I need time, and I usually have short time/day... I have my lunchbreak but I stay at work and I can't watch something that makes me cry (can you imagine? me crying at work for a drama ) BTW... someday I'll watch also T&D, that's for sure AHAHAHAHA
