this is the strongest high-school-based-drama i've seen so far. The heroic, loyalty, friendship and their effort really shows.

The movie scenes also not too much over-rating (like gokusen.. lol), and the fighting scenes are pretty well-done.

That's true, at the beginning, when this male teacher running around and screaming for about necktie I was like

".... not this kind of teacher agaaainnnn...."

But after few episodes it got great.

Moreover it's not a bunch of bastards in a whole class, but focused on 13 guys only, which is natural.

Since it's not just about the teacher power, even the teacher learns from his students.

Now it's kinda hard for me to decide which come the #1 rank on my j-high-school-drama, either this or Dragon Zakura (Abe got the best teacher award -- by me hehehe), while ROOKIES probably the best 'delinquent students' so far. No such absolute BOSS in their circle.

Another update:

The hardsubs for Ep08 is delayed because the encode was screwed up. I rejected it and it's being reencoded again.

Ep09 is 99% translated except for a few lines, the "next half preview" and the "next episode preview". It's going through the subbing pipeline right now. So it should be done in a few days, I hope.

Please support our new subbing project, "Tomorrow", lead by darynrose which the softsubs will be released in a few days. I will be assisting in timing, and fixing translations.

Yosh! I finished all 3 drama episode for this week. I have Tomorrow Ep01 and Rookies Ep09 left to do. Next week is another killer week. Sad

Another 3 drama episodes. Sigh. I hate it during the change of seasons when the previous season and the next season drama overlaps.
