I see. And now I remember, crix was talking about aegisub (never worked with it myself). Like you I don't like chancing programs unless it’s absolutely necessary. Guess I’m too lazy. LOL
And you’re right about SUPER, it’s a great program. With Audacity I once had some problems in wave editing. That’s why I prefer NERO’s, not the best editor though but works for my purpose.
Have to admit, I’m not such a big fan of Mabo (as an actor). I only saw him in Kindaichi and parts of Yaoh. So for me his new drama wouldn’t ease the pain to have none Tomoya drama this year. (That’d be really a drama, a personally one!)
A new single is fine with me too (and maybe also a concert dvd?). I’m so excited and looking forward to. But, it wouldn’t be enough!
As for a fall drama, I’m afraid that won’t work. When I’m looking at the history I get this
T&D – spring 2005
MBMH – summer 2006
Utahime – fall 2007
xxx – winter 2008 (?)
new movie – spring 2009
This way we’d come full circle, right?
Well, it's only my way to see it. Crossing fingers that there'll be a drama at all (and someone who might be willing to sub.)

i am trying to be postive and keep my hopes high but i guess is not working this way.
like Naiya-chan, not such big fan of mabo (well, i have only watched kindaichi too) but i think i might give his new one a chance.
i really hope that Naiya's prediction comes true. mean while i keep all my fingers and toes crossed.

Hahaha.. As for me, I can't really gauge him as an actor yet.. For I've only seen him in Kindaichi, and on the 1st episode of Yaoh.. But I love his subtle expressions. Hahaha..
Re. Nagase's probable new drama.. Well.. If that's the case, then his last drama before he turns 30 is Utahime, I wouldn't mind that, afterall Utahime is such a beautiful drama.. But I just want to see him in something new! RIGHT NOW! *sigh*

I second you all, I don't really like Mabo's acting, I think he's too cool... I used to our Tomobabe's acting, so full of passion, laughter, teary eyes, cries... everyone else seems to me a little too... faded.
About karaoke... *___* OMG I would like to have some karaoke too... it would be so great...
this evening my sister and I watched together the pictures we took in our tokyo holiday (last year) and we had a big big big surprise... in a pic taken in Shybuya we recognize our dear Tomobabe in a big board over 109 building *_____* we didn't know Babe last summer and I'm so shocked now... I've seen him on a wall and I didn't watch at him at all OMG I was so BAKAAAAA

After watching this clip, I just wanted to drop by and say this: NAGASE and TOKIO is GREAT. Well, I think I should have said it long ago. I wish I had known them long ago. I wish I hadn't wasted so much time drooling over just-pretty-faced boys like those Tawainese pin-ups. The more I listen to Tokio's music, the more I love them. And I think they are a great band, a real band who's played their music together for over a decade. It's such a great thing.
Sorry for my negative comments on Nagase's recent weight problem. It's true that he doesn't look as good as he used to. However, when I just listen to his voice, I realize it doesn't matter how his look is. Just close your eyes and enjoy the voice. I am listening to Honjitsu Mijukumono. It is a great song and Nagase did a terrific job.
In the clip above, I realize that Tokio is not only a band whose members can play musical instruments but also can sing very well. At first I thought they were Nagase and members from other bands (as they usually do, make an underground, unofficial band by mixing up members from various groups). By watching carefully, I realize that they are all Tokio. And they are great. They sing so beautifully. It's a great ballad. I'm dying to have this song in my ipod so can you please give me the name of the song or the link to download it? I'd very much appreciate it.
Nagase is also a great actor. Althoug he doesn't have a brilliant, extrordinary career like other men in his generation (like Kimura, for instance) but all the reviews I read are very positive. Some of his dramas (like Seaside love or Love and Eros) are a big failure (as the reviews are bad) still Nagase got thumps-up for his acting. And I believe he's so natural (though not very versatile) in his roles. I love him most as Sakuraba Yuichiro in Mukodono 2001, not the 2003 version (though he's a bit too exaggerating in it). But my first ever drama of his was My boss My hero, which I think his most succesful drama so far. He was baka, too baka, in a cute way, of course. I love his character in Utahime (mind you, this drama sucks) as he portrays this character very well, very naturally.

well hello natkasu
i am fairy new to the world of TOKIO and their music (became a HUGE fan thanks to tomogirls here Naiya-chan and morai last year) and i love their music with passion now. their talent and their songs quality gets better and better by time. babe's voice getting stronger and toner it's almost a perfect voice for me. that is why i can't stop listening to their music.
welcome to wonderful world of Tomoya/TOKIO.
unfortunetly i did not know babe from long time and was not through out the time where his career progressed. that is what i think new fans have problem accpeting his new image. i mean, most of fans got to know him in matter a year or two and tried during this time to watch his entire 15 years career in the matter of such a short time (this is true in my case as i discovered him last year in Feb)
another thing is that i feel babe really does not care about his image much (sometimes is necessary to do so in my opinion). his talent shines through his music and his roles no matter how he looks.
as for his dramas, as you said , he really is a talented actor. the only negative part that i see in his actng sometimes is lack of chemistry between him and his leading lady in some of his dramas. i could see it clearly in Utahime ( i think lots of people will disagree with me on this) but even so, i would not say that it sucked but i would say the writer did not do a good job (oh and aibu saki was very annoying for me and she did the exact kind of acting in Zettai Kareshi that made me think that maybe it was not entirly writer's fault). but over all it it had so many positive reviews by people. i am so sad to say that utahime will be the only tomoya drama that i will not watch again even though i think is good enough drama.
as for my opinion, i really think that tomoya's best drama was Tiger & Dragon. makkio holds a special place in my heart as it was the first time i laid eye on babe and i love MBMH so much and i keep watching it from time to time, but nothing can beat T&D

haha.. we're all entitled to our own opinions.
Issy's right, some ppl do not like his new "image."
But as for me, I'm very happy that he is doing what he loves to do.
Also, just a note.
As an actor, I do not think the "international" fandom is quite aware of how big he was at the peak of his career. Jdoramas became more popular only in the recent years (someone correct if I'm wrong.. but AFAIK, this Japanese Wave isn't as big as it is today.) So, about the "brilliant, extraordinary career" you're talking about, without fangurl bias, I can readily say that he did have such a career. Looking at his drama lists alone speaks volumes already. LOL. And also, I think comparing any other actor with Kimura's achievement would certainly make the other look quite.. err. dim. LOL
Another emphasis, these are just my opinions. I think he is very versatile..
One problem could be.. (as Issy mentioned) is that, his chemistry between female co-stars often seems to be a problem.
I loved Utahime.. I honestly do. I liked Aibu there.. (I didn't like her in Attention Please, tho.) And I think Utahime is very beautifully written. Because it's been awhile since a love story has ever moved me so much. But I think it's quite hard for the general population to like Utahime because of it's slow-paced style (just like Shikaotoko Aoniyoshi).
Eitherways.. For me..
Best Look: T&D or Big Money or... HAHAHA hard to choose.
Best Acting: T&D and MBMH <-- depends on my mood.
Most Memorable Character: Makoto Majima from IWGP <-- here's where I first saw him.

natkasu, nagase looks really good in that clip! the song is 36℃ from the 5 Ahead album. I can't find a link to download the song though.
the first time i saw nagase was in the drama Hakusen Nagashi, and that remains one of my favourite dramas. he was so young then. since then nagase has really changed a lot, both in terms of looks and musical style. i don't think Nagase really cares much about his looks though! compared to some of his previous looks, i quite like his current dark hair look now.
I also prefer the cool nagase to the rather baka one. Mukodono was ok cos he was adorably cute but still cool, but MBMH and Utahime didn't quite strike a chord. My favourites still have to be the hakusen nagashi series, IGWP and T&D.
i used to be really into tokio and nagase. it's been a long time since i've listened to their songs, but have been listening to them on my ipod this week and it just reminds me why i started liking them in the first place.

i had kind of hard time adjusting to his new image but now i totally LOVE the way he is now. all i hope is for him to let his hair grow longer. i think the mature look suits him nicely.
i forgot to comment about his versatility as an actor. i think he is one versatile actor. he has done so many different characters. none of his roles are similaer to each other. he played two different type of yakuza in two dramas the way that you it can not be related to each other. i found kotaro that yakuza much different from makkio the yakuza.
