I tried also on my PS3 and no go for the 1280x720 H.264 but divx 1280x720 raw plays fine.
Not sure why though as the H.264 should play on the PS3. My PS3 will play H.264 1920x1080 .m2ts fine also 1280x720 .mp4 files. So will look into it.
Played nice on my PC but had to disable Aud-X codec as that kept giving errors.
