[Req] I WANT TO CREAT A FANSUB GROUP

Hey guys I've been thinking lately about starting my own fan sub group. As of now the team consists of just me lol.

Right now what I really needed to get started off on is a Translator I can Time, Encode, and Upload, Also provide Raws I wish there was a Link for a site but the site is not ready as of yet cause my site creators father has just died and all is postponed as of now site wise but expect one in a week or two.

I know that I'm going to need a lot more people but as of now I just wanna get the ball rolling. If any one is interested in joining please e-mail me at ShadowSubs@gmail.com

PS First project would be Zettai Kareshi (if we can get started soon enough)
Translators can choose which shows they want to do along with ones other staff members want.

Just so you know, SARS Fansubs is already subbing Zettai Kareshi in English.

What does an editor and an uploader usually do ?

an editor smoothes out the translation by correcting grammar, spelling, punctuation or sometimes completely rewording a sentence for fit...
(though this last should be done by someone with either decent knowledge of the source language or by checking back with the translator to prevent mistakes in meaning)
an uploader would help by donating his/her bandwidth to seeding/distributing the final product...

I have subbed episode 1 of Zettai Kareshi as one of my own solo projects.
I am doing this all by myself, timing and all !

lol, thnx getsugatnsho I was gonna release hardsubs but since SARS will, I wont.
so.. I might release soft subs. btw I saw that another user subbed/upped ep1 which is fine by me. I wasnt even done yet (editing) Unsure

I'll sub the next following eps...mayb
it would be great if someone did the timing & spot translating.

I think d-addicts rules are that you must start at episode one of a drama when subbing. I'm not certain about it, so you may want to check up on that.

Also, since Zettai is going to be subbed eventually (especially since many people will end up waiting for SARS), why not focus your efforts elsewhere to help all the other projects series people are waiting on subs for? I know there are many groups who would appreciate having a new translator on board.

Hmm...if a person new to the fansub world were given a choice between joining an existing active fansub group or creating a fansub group from scratch, I think starting from scratch would almost always be disadvantageous. The first reason is that it would be duplicating existing resources (e.g., timing, encoding) from other groups, the second being that valuable experience could be gained from working with an active group, and the third being that for a series already been fansubbed, resources are being wasted when they could be used to sub other dramas which could use some help. There are merits to creating a new fansub group, but the only thing I could think of is when no other group has the resources to fansub that particular series.

I do have experience w/ fansubbing... but I was only planning on subbing Z K (not 100% accurate subs)
becuz Sars will take awhile...but hey if I offended anyone...shrugs
