Hello all. I'm Abyssmalfate, a solo fansubber. I wanted to announce the dramas I will be working on. My friend and cousin, Demongoddess0991[ ], got me into it. So, here are the prospects:
1.Otoko no Kosodate
2.4 Shimai tantei dan
3.Shigeshoshi
4.Seito Shokun
5.Oishii Gohan: Kamakura Kasugai Kometen
6.Uramiya Honpo
7.Lost time life
8.Sugata Sanshiro
9.Glass no Kiba
All releases will be softsubs and hardsubs. My main focus will be 4 Shimai and probably Otoko no Kosodate.
Thank you for reading.

So you've already seen this, right? Some of these dramas have been already been subbed (hard and soft), others are in progress and still others are have been announced by other groups. One Pound Gospel (One pound no Fukuin) already has hard and soft subtitles. Knowing how efficient Massuki is, they've probably completed the last episode. A new group just formed because they were dismayed that no one had subbed Long Time Life.

You should probably communicate with demongoddess, as she's in the group which is subbing Lost Time Life.
Also, if you have the time to sub, you should focus on project which have not been taken up by a fansub group, or join the fansub group which is subbing the series if they are lacking staff._________________ It can only be the love.

| Well, I read the rules over and over again to make sure I would be able to do them even if there were other people doing it. DG told me that it's okay to have more then one group doing a drama before that as well. I'm also thinking of releasing french subs when I'm done with the english versions.

If you are seriously considering subbing all of that, just some advice from another solo subber...
Pick one project and do it well. You will not have time to sub more than a handful of the dramas you listed. Subbing a PV or a variety show segment is not the same commitment as subbing a 10-episode renzoku, where each EPISODE is many times longer than either of the former. You will burn yourself out with that much subbing. Even if you have a whole team supporting you on the production side, the most time-consuming part of subbing is still the translating, and if you're the only translator, that can only go so quickly._________________ See my current DramaWiki editing projects here.

ごめん。I didn't mean to imply you couldn't do it. I was just worried about you taking on an extensive list of subs and taxing yourself out with dramas already being subbed or will be subbed by multiple groups already.
One of the reasons my partners and I make subtitles is to create English templates for non-Japanese speaking people who wish to create non-English subtitles. Of course, with you being a Japanese speaker you have no need for that, but the option to use the subs is still there. I would never claim ownership of a drama. In fact, I'm very interested in a comparative study of the same drama being subtitled by two or more groups. 頑張ってください。

@Abyssmalfate: As people mentioned yes it is possible for multiple Groups to sub the same Drama, but it is a bit pointless so to speak unless one does only Softsubs or Hardsubs. Which occasionally is how it is with some exceptions (Due to just Fandom of the Drama).
But yeah it is best to actually JOIN the group that is working on it, well if they need the helping hand that is... As I know we at TimeLesSub could use your help with Binbo Danshi.
More or less after you complete it, you are still able to produce French Subs for them afterwards.
So yeah if you want to help us out at TLS, I can talk to the Project Lead about it as I am merely an Encoder for that project.
If not, more power to ya for solo'in all these projects, although again, if the series is being worked on/ done already you are sorta 'wasting you time'(Figuratively speaking of course as a small audience will get your subs as they may be 'new' to the J-Drama Fansubs Scene)

| @SacredCultivator: I'm sorry. I thought the point of this thread was redundancy since most of these subs have been done. _________________ BadasSubs, For the Hello of it™

Besides, I was just trying to encourage Abyssmalfate (who happens to be an abysmal speller)
But then I would have to say that Abyssmal needs no encouragement. Plenty of ego there.
I mean how conceited would one have to be... _________________ BadasSubs, For the Hello of it™
