MKV... are these the HALFCD2 rips?

They are sxts.net rips.. The HALFCD2 are only about 150Mbs these are around 350Mbs.. They are really good quality...

Hmmm I've never watch a sxts.net rip. I just know HALFCD.... and the pure crap ones. lol

yes.. would be interesting.. I tried to download the HALFCD.. but got no where with those.. and then I found these.. The quality is so much better than "the pure crap ones" your are referring to.

Here's a snap shot.. The quality is very good. Nice and purdy..

hmmm well I could compare to the HALFCD version of An Xiang I have. Not an exact match but it will point out the major quality differences since HALFCD seems to be pretty consistent on all the shows I have of theirs.

From what I see the resolution is definitely larger for sxts.net and the image is a bit sharper. Can't compare audio but the HALFCD audio never bugs me in any way, so it's not bad.

... And both versions are much better than the mini rips, "What? You wanted to actually be able to READ the Chinese subs?" lol

And for those not paying attention. The following images have absolutely nothing to do with Chinese Paladin. lol

I agree.. The HALFCD Version is not bad at all, it image seems very crisp compared to the low quality rips.. As for the audio.. I can definite tell you its many times better then the rvmb rips... It's very clean and clear no pitchy and screechy-ness.. You'll be able to compare once this torrent gets approved..

It's amazing how good the quality and how small the files can be using a mkv container and h.264/AAC for video and audio compression.

How come the first few episodes are in different aspect ratio then the later ones? Some of them are even out of proportion.

All of them are 720x432, this is mainly due to the subtitles at the bottom, .. This was how it was ripped.. I did not rip them...

What do you mean

For example, episode 8's aspect ratio is out of proportion (not widescreen) and does not look like the screenshot you have in the first post.
