Uta no Onii-san [Eng Subs] (Ep 01-3 of ?)

I prefer .srt files simply because I prefer to watch shows on my TV instead of my computer. To do that I have to convert the files and put them on DVD, and the program I use to convert doesn't recognize .ass files.

well, i don't know if this works for dvd purposes, but i needed an .srt for VLC player, since it wouldn't load .ass for some reason. then i found a freeware called SubtitleWorkshop4, in which i just open the .ass file and click save as...and change the file type to save it as.srt and tadam!

I'm attaching the outcome.

and if i remember correctly, i think i got the software here.

Why not just use GOMplayer? It works better than VLC Player.

I use MPC to view all my media files...and it plays all subtitle files as well, including .ass so no need to convert to srt, smi, or sub.

I have direct vobsub installed as well ac combined community codec pack.

The only time I use Subtitle WorkShop is when I'm editing subs during the fansubbing process. ^^;;

Plus, I like the pretty fonts that ass have over srt files.

You don't need DirectVob for GOMplayer. It has all the codecs and etc. installed and plays every video file aswell as subtitle format I can think of.

yay! im super excited and pateintly waiting for episode 3 subs wooohoooo! luv this show! this is the best drama i've watched so far this year! i guess voice is ok too but i've only watched one episode

Hey everyone, subtitles for episode 3 are now up! Just a little note, I changed the Uta-no-Onii-san references and translated it to Brother of Song too keep it less confusing (due to references of Uta no Onee-san and even Uta no Ojii-san Big Smile

).
