Popular couples paired more than once???

i don't know if it is only me...but does Korean and Japanese dramas ever have the same couple from another drama paired up again to make another drama???

i mean...i see it in Thai and Chinese dramas a lot...but i notice it really doesn't exist in Korean and Japanese drama.....

is there any particular reason??? or do they just like to have everyone paired up with each other????

One possible combo is Takahashi Katsunori and Inamori Izumi, who both starred in Batsu Kare and Toshishita no Otoko.
Hidden:

They weren't actually lovey-dovey couples in either show. But they did have the lead roles.

IMHO, if Japan started having these Meg Ryan/Tom Hanks type casting, people would get bored with it FAST. There are people who are totally into pairings, but they're the minority.

The only Japanese couple that I can think of that have starred in several things together are Kimura Takuya and Matsu Takako.

Can't think of any Korean couples but there must be.

Its more common in Chinese dramas, too many to list.

Also in Thai dramas pair up as viewer want to see the pairing more and more rather then the actual drama.

Ayase Haruka and Yamada Takayuki: Sekai no chuhshin de, Byakuyako
Nogiwa Yoko and Ito Shiro: Double/Triple Kitchen, Risou no Kekkon, Jigoku no Sata mo Yome Shidai, Byakkotai

i hope you don't mind me changing the title a little.

going off what groink said, i think the other thing is that for some people the pairing of a couple can actually hurt a show. especially if the second drama isn't of the same genre. you'll could get confused with their roles.
