Edit 3: I posted this in the wrong forum and one of the helpful mods moved it here. Thanks! (my original post is below)
Does anyone release Japanese subtitles for popular dramas?
I am mainly watching dramas to improve my Japanese. It would be really helpful to have Japanese subtitles.
DVDs of dramas in Japan will sometimes have subtitles, and it's really helpful!
EDIT 1: I found http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/viewtopic_58128.htm which links to http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/subtitles.php#Japanese
This is just what I was looking for.
EDIT 2: Should this post be moved to the fansub forum? I couldn't find any way to move it, so maybe a mod could do it for me?

| You can usually find many movies with Japanese subtitles. One that I am watching today is Gou gou the cat with Ueno Juri and I had to downlioad a different torrent when I had the wrong subs.. I actually found a really good one that had two Japanese subtitle tracks, one in kanji and one in hiragana, but I cannot remember the name, I will take a look and see if I can find it. But remember that google is you friend. If you do a search on the gou gou the cat Japanese subtitle you will easily find the japanese sub. Just rinse and repeat for any movie you are interested in.

| If you live in Japan, you can easily get Japanese subtitle text from terrestrial digital TV broadcasting programs by extracting it using a tool called Caption2Ass. These programs have, when recorded, a file extention, .TS.
