I'm trying to dl "Kira Kira Kenshui" (this one) but I my bittorrent isnt connecting to the tracker or something. When I check on the torrent's status, I see

I asked a friend of mine for help on this, and he said that I might need to do the whole port forwarding thing, which I'm not entirely sure about. But in the settings part, it says that it looks for an available port starting at 6881 and it also enables automatic port mapping. Also, I can torrent files from other sites just fine.

Does anyone know what's going on? Do I need to do the whole port forwarding thing?

the FAQ is there for a reason. please take the time to read it so you may enjoy a lifetime of dl'ing. it's worth it.

I tried reading the FAQ. Turns out I'm behind that NAT thing. I tried to see if my ports could be detected and according to canyouseeme.org, it cant see my ports because the operation timed out. To be sure, I double checked with the bittorrent support site. I'm using the Bittorrent client. But I was talking with the same friend, and it might be that my IP address is banned here for whatever reason. I'll have to check to see if I can torrent from another computer...

Edit: Yep, I'm on another computer, and not only can I use IE to sign in, but I can use Bittorrent to torrent things. Yay!! Big Smile Big Smile Big Smile

Are you ok and set using the other computer and don't need help with this anymore?

If not, I've got some additional questions that might help narrow down on your problem.
(Sorry if this is redundant, but I just want to check the details)

What's your IP address? (you can PM it if you don't want to post it publicly)
Can you login to the sit at all from your home computer?
This other computer you're using now is at home or someplace physically separated (i.e.work)
I notice you've had an account here for almost a year now. When did you start having issues? Did you move or change ISPs?

The computer that wasnt helping is at home, same with this computer. I couldnt log into the site from that comuter unless I was using Firefox, whereas this IE is fine. So it's all good! Smile Smile Smile Thanks for the concern!



And the reason I've had this account for about a year and only noticed now that I couldnt download was because I ran out of space on the other computer...and completely forgot this site existed... Foot in mouth
