Ask! Why you gotta ask for? You TELL her "You. Me. Prom" and she will oblige like a good little girl

well, is this a general prom question where you're gonna ask whoever you think might want to go with you? or...
you really want to ask one particular person?
in general, i'd say
incorporate spontaneity, be genuine, and if you can be creative (some kind of a small surprise), it wouldn't hurt
but it all depends on how you relate with this person right? _________________ -Qwin-

Aggressive? ~ Geez how would you wanna go about it? Beat around the bush? Talk about the weather? Dude its all about confidence. You've gotta bite the bullet and ask. No point saying oh there has to be another way...another way? By the time you figure that out she would be married with Kids. Just ask her before someone else does. If she rejects you its no big deal. Theres like plenty of others. Just move on. The thing is you don't have to beat yourself up about it. Don't create a mountain out of a molehill. The sooner you ask the better before all the other good gals are taken! Because if you wait and try to befriend the girl the chances of her seeing you as a boyfriend will diminish so its best just to ask then trying other ways to "win" her heart as a friend.
Good luck! Courage, confidence maybe humour but just ask! The sooner the better before someone else asks her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I believe you have someone specific in mind? Well just remember her poop smells just as bad as yours...hell it might be worser!

This seems to be the time to deliver a piece of advice I received years ago from my high school speech teacher.
There are three big events in a woman's life: her wedding, her senior prom, and her junior prom. It is highly probable that she'll never get married. Therefore, her proms will be the major highlight(s) of her life. Therefore, you as a boy should make it a point not to make the prom a miserable experience for her.
You should NEVER take someone to the prom who you don't already have a relationship. This is because most boys will attempt to use an event like a prom to start up a relationship. Bad, bad bad idea! Proms are meant to be enjoyed, and not as a romantic experience.
People you SHOULD ask out:
- Girlfriend (not potential girlfriend, but a girlfriend you're already dating)
- Best friend. The reason is clear: you're already comfortable with her. Her wearing a gown and you a tuxedo does not change things a bit. If, however, you have a crush on your friend, DO NOT ask her to the prom.
- Another classmate. Even though you're not great friends with her, at least you've given her a chance to go to the prom. Upon arrival, the two of you can separate and mingle with the other guests.
- STAG! Why not? Although a bid is really meant for two people, there is no law stopping you from attending alone. Remember, the prom is just another school event!
DO NOT invite:
- Crushes. Period.
- Relatives
- Hired help, such as hookers and escorts
- Immediate family member, such as your sister or mom. You can get away with this on TV. Doesn't work out in real life.

hey everyone,
thank you so much for your advice. perhaps filling you in on the situation will help.
she's a year younger than me, and we've known each other for a couple years. i don't really know her extremely well, but i wouldn't mind taking her to my junior prom. the problem is this...
to my knowledge, she doesn't have a boyfriend, but she does have boys who are friends, whom of which are very very close to her. to make things worse, i'm friends with her friends which might make things a bit awkward.
but i understand what you're all saying. go as friends and have a good time.
btw, i'm not exactly what you'd call adept in the category of dancing...so does anybody have any tips on dancing?

| I didn't go to prom with a date. I just danced with the girls whose dates wouldn't dance with them >=D. If you don't mind going up to a girl and dancing with her..especially since in high school you know lots of the people around you, don't be distressed even if no1 says yes.
