Quick note: I'm using what seems to be the more popular filtering technique as seen on ep 47 for this and will use that one for the remainder. I bumped up the saturation and brightness a hair, so let me know how you all like it. I often prefer to drop brighness a bit and bump saturation for a more vivid look but that's just a personal preference. any comments on preferences will be welcome. Constructive ones on tweaking, that is. But nobody following this thread seems to be hollering for impossible HD quality, so thanks for that.
Quick note #2: I'm on ep 31-32 in my personal viewing. Damn, wish I had a better source. Some of these are hard to watch even filtered. Maybe I'll play more later...

Notes:
Not that anyone pays attention to this section, but if you're looking for a simple plug 'n play solution for playback and don't like digging for different codecs, etc. then go for the standard version of the Kazaa Lite codec pack. I use individual codecs for my encoding rig, but my home theater pc has this pack, powerdvd, and not much else. cheers!
Synopsis:
Living together has become more and more common these days, and most of these couples do so with the intent of eventually getting married. At the same time, divorce rates are skyrocketing. Most dramas tend to focus on the magical, difficult, and sometimes (at least in K-dramas) brutally tragic journey to true love. So what happens when that wedding never occurs? Or when what was thought to be a rock-solid marriage is ripped apart through one or both partners' infidelity, insensitivity, or just plain boredom?
This story centers on the relationships that the daughters in the family have with their men. Eun-pah, who broke up with her high-school sweetheart while he was away in the military to live with a (supposedly) lovable and handsome classmate who she intends to marry. So what happens when years later that person still won't commit to marriage, or even grow up? And what happens when her first love, who has never wavered in his love for her shows up again? The answers may not be what you expect.
The other focus is on her oldest sister Geum-pah. Married for years, her life revolves around her child and her divorce-lawyer husband. What happens when you start to suspect that the man who was supposed to be your ever-faithful rock is cheating? And what happens when you find out that you were right?
Their stories, and the relationships with different family members and friends, creates a rich tapestry of everyday life that takes an honest and frank look at how love and life really are, and the true meaning behind the sacred vows of marriage.
There are a few dramas coming out recently that examine what happens after "happily ever after" and the roll of the credits in traditional melodramas. "Rules of Love" and "Our Stance on How To Treat a Breakup (aka Rules of Love)" are a few along those lines that look very interesting.
I believe that this drama is the one that at least partially inspired these and a few others along the way. This is an exceptionally long drama by the standards of most of the uploaded K-dramas here, and that length allows the writers and actors to explore the emotional depth of the characters in a way that is rarely seen in series these days.
The characters are flawed, just like you and me. They have their insecurities, moments of weakness and naivete, greed, lust, dishonesty, strength, forgiveness... and are ultimately more human and believable for that. You'll sometimes want to cheer for them, and you'll sometimes want to grab them, shake them, and tell them to pull their heads out of their @sses. Kind of like real life, eh? _________________ I am not obsessed. I am just very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very focussed...

| Ah, you'd think with the rate I'm putting these up, one of the 80 or so folks would give me a bit of feedback on the coloring, etc. Encoding ep 52 in a few.... _________________ I am not obsessed. I am just very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very focussed...

Episode 52 looked great, best of the "varied encoding methods so far".
Some of the earlier episodes looked like they were taped off the air from VHS but
52 was great.

Yeah, some of the dvd's were so blurred it was pointless to even try to enhance them besides cleaning up a bit of the noise and contrast/saturation. If you thought ep 48 or so were a bit cartoony, those ones looked positively Looney Tunes when I tried anything strong enough to even touch it. _________________ I am not obsessed.
