The new nominees are pretty random. Please note the update to the Rules for Nominating JSoTWs. Also, thanks to ironicwave for photoshopping the Shiawase ni Naritai image. So much better than my horrible 10 second MSPaint images >.<

EDIT: Bengoshi no Kuzu has been replaced with Kawa, Itsuka Umi e. Sorry about that.

Many thanks go out to those seeding the current JSoTW (Shiawase ni Naritai). Thank you for your support! salut

What is the Japanese Series of the Week (SoTW)? More Info Here
Hidden:

Due to the substantial number of torrents on this site, we implemented a "Series of the Week," where we could dedicate bandwidth and seeding efforts to a specific series. This helps in several ways:
1. People will know which series was voted and will be seeded, rather than just waiting and hoping for them to be seeded at some later date.
2. For those seeders who have DVD burners and have already burnt their collections to DVD/CD, the series of the week gives them an opportunity to dust off those archives and help seed their favorites.
3. Constantly re-circulates older torrents back into view, and focuses bandwidth and demand toward specific torrents, rather than having people request series across the board.

Remember, D-Addicts was started for the community, and being a part of the community means sharing. If you don't share, then everyone loses (refer to JEM's dropping of cdramas). Bittorrent and DA works much better if you share as others have shared with you.

======================================================================

If you are willing to seed any of the series in the poll, please post a reply here or in the JSoTW: Looking For Volunteer Seeders thread or PM anyone of the mods or admins. There are still several series which do not have volunteer seeders, so any help would be greatly appreciated! The more seeders we have, the more variety we will have in future JSoTW polls!

Reminder: You must have at least 10 posts to vote. Don't start spamming the forum, but this encourages you to get involved in some of those drama discussions!

I will vote for anything with Nakai kun in cos he's a decent actor with a meaty enough role.

Next time I think I will be careful about leaving my BT client uncapped when downloading a series right before it is put out as DOTW:

and I just love seeing that I was saturating the NIC earlier because of this drama...

Atleast I hope everyone got awesome speeds from the begging because of this.

"BRIEF SUMMARY: NHK's 50th anniversary memorial drama serial. This drama consisting of several short stories starring some of the well known actors and actress of Japan today. A ball floats from the river's source to the sea, unlocking the portrayal of six love stories across the four seasons of the year."

Yay! A series with Abe Hiroshi in it I haven't seen yet. Got my vote.

One silly question...
Will you be doing another taiga drama month soon? I got hooked after musashi.

Possibly. I can answer that as soon as I figure out what "taiga" means : P

Oh haha

Isn't that what they call the historical NHK series?
Like Musashi and Toshiie to Matsu.

This is a tough one for me...

I've wanted to see Egao no Hosoku for a long time ( yay for Takeuchi Yuko! - although I know she is in Shiroi Kage as well, but I have that one Neutral ), but I am also currently trying to get Kawa, Itsuka Umi e.

If one or both of these don't make it this time, I'd like to nominate them to be reentered in the next non-taiga poll. Smile

oh...and here is perhaps a bit more info. on Kawa, Itsuka Umi e

I voted Shiroi Kage. Actually I've seen all of the dramas listed before awhile back, and I think it's my fave of the choices. Takeuchi Yuko and Nakai were really good in this one. Especially Nakai, such a different character than his usual genki self on variety shows. I cried so much!
