I feel bad for the cast, because this drama (even with "Hottest Body in Korea" Kwon Sang Woo) is going to get killed against Yi San and King+I. I feel bad for KBS in general, since it seems like they haven't a real hit since Dal Ja Spring.

That said, I think Kwon Sang Woo and Lee Yo Won is going to be an awesome, awesome match.

Lee Yo Won has a similar half-cute/half-annoying "innocent grimace" shtick that Eun Hye rode to stardom, and she tends to use it even when playing mostly serious roles. So it always throws you off when her anger flares in her roles, which it always does for dramatic effect. Kwon Sang Woo's like that too. A lot of his characters, you immediately underestimate him as a charming, consummately handsome "talking head." Then out of nowhere he can throw out emotional anguish as if he's the unluckiest guy in the world. Seriously, for such a gorgeous guy whose clothes seem to be "in flight" like a Versace ad, you still feel sorry for him. Only in K-drama! Big Smile

Both actors make you underestimate their characters, and so it'll be interesting how the writers depict their relationship. Expect lots of tears. Big Smile

yay a kwon sang woo drama...cant wait till the first subs are released.
i hope it will be much better than his last drama 'sad sonata' tho...cos i didnt like that much
i wonder why it is that he always seems to go for melodramas.

I went over at Soompi and initial reactions to Bad Love Episode 1 doesn't seem to be that good. Actually quite a few responses seem very harsh especially with the writing.

First episode's generated a 7.7 rating. (When your two competing shows are both generating 20+ ratings, is there anybody left?) I guess I'd be surprised if it averaged over a 10 during its run. But apparently, due to KSW's popularity, it's been already sold to Japan for $30 million. Probably why it was made in the first place given that melodramas are not especially popular right now.

I'm still looking forward to this show on the strength of the cast. KSW and Lee Yo Won just makes too much sense to me as a pairing.

Oh, and apparently, KSW has a sauna scene in episode 1. He was voted body of the year and, well, he definitely has the body of the year.

@belleza.. Well, what u said is right cuz from what I read in soompi that was exactly thr response for Ep1 & Ithink Ep2 got the same response but the rating was I think 6.6 which is even lower than Ep1 , KSW is really a good actor I don't want to see him always in melodrama , the last one was stairway to heaven & when I saw it , it has a bunch of tragedy that broke ur heart, I think it's enough for him as we saw Choi Ji Woo come back to TV with a kind of action drama I'd like to see him in TV with different characters.. & about the sauna scene NO COMMENT I saw the pix & he really deserve it.. Mr. Green

It seem to me that his Japnese fans were waiting this drama more than korean to bought it $30 million & we can't forget that in the same time there is also another 2 dramas make a very high rating compete it , so no wonder to get this low rating as it's the samr to Insoon is pretty because of the The Legend which make a big hit & lobbyist also..
