Not to gripe or anything but what is the justification for the large size (790MB) when the original raw appears to be only 470MB and the resolution is VCD at best? It appears you are using PCM audio for the sound, at least for episode 4. Why not use a compressed audio format like MP3 or AC3? Just seems a lot of space can be saved and download times reduced.

I've already done all the raw ones and I don't really feel like doing them a second time as real life, family, etc. are more of a priority to me.

snoweviolet, you seem to take offense at thesog's question but compressing the audio would also benefit you as well since the smaller file will reduce your upload time. I ran episode 1 through Virtual Dub with direct stream copy for the video and MPEG3 compression for the audio and it took less than 5 minutes on an Athlon XP2500 to reduce the file size from 752,956 to 289,306. We're thankful to receive whatever you choose to provide and are just trying to be sure that you're fully aware of the alternatives.

My point is, I don't really have the time nor the inclination to do the work a second time. I only speak English and French, so I won't be doing translations at any point in the future. This was a one-time deal. (Although, if anyone wants me to proof-read for grammar and spelling for a subtitle, feel free to let me know.) I'm a happy camper, I've got my hardsubs for the whole series archived.

Anyone who has the raws and subtitle files can figure out how to do hardsubbing. The only difference would be that I cleaned up the grammar and spelling of the subtitle files before hardsubbing them. For that matter, if you'd like the cleaned .srt files just send me a message and I'll send you the edited versions. I'm more than happy to stop with episodes 1-5., I'll leave it to you folks to finish providing and seeding 6-12. Laugh

Hey, up to you if you want to continue or stop. You don't have to redo ep 5. You could just try it out for 6 and up. The point is learning new things right? If you're too busy to do it then that's fine too. We all get tied up with life, myself included. Just trying to reduce the bandwidth for everyone.

snoweviolet, the process I suggested does not require doing anything a second time. It adds an additional 5 minutes of work per episode. Doing a direct stream copy in Virtual Dub preserves the hard subbed video. Episodes 1-5 are water under the bridge but you really should consider compressing the audio for the remaining episodes. I loved snoweviolet's method! I could burn the files 2 dvd and watch on tv instead of computer. dont care if the files r big ... they somehow still fit on my 700mbs dont ask me how

Does anyone know how I can get this to play on my computer. I've DL this but it was the extension as .torrent and my windows media player, powerDVD and DivX do not recognize it. I tried the suggestion in the help forum about DL Gspot to identify the codec but it cannot i.d anything. Am I downloadin this wrong?

You might already know this, but if you don't, the torrent file is just for downloading the actual file via a bittorent client like bittorent tornado, abc, etc. For more info search the web on bittorents and clients. Hope that helps.
