Actually the idea that I've decided to release softsubs only came from WITHS2. But I think the main reason is due to the legal issues of hardsubbing dramas.
With regards to the "slow" thing, I think it is harder for us to be any faster. Unlike typical J-dramas or K-dramas that show 1-2 times every week. Fil dramas show 5 times a week! No time for us to recharge at all!
Like in Marimar, it's currently showing at episode 30, but since it started (when we started subbing as well), we were only able to finish episode 1. Episodes 2-6 are still in process.
So if anyone else wants to volunteer... we need you badly! We can only speed up if there are lots of translators, timers and editors working on the different episodes at the same time.

i loved that trailer as well! it really made me anticipate, too bad i didnt get to watch all the episodes.. i did get to watch the ending.

I don't really need subs for filipino dramas. I'm fluent (kinda) in tagalog and I don't really watch tagalog shows. Too long and a lot of them are corny (Super Twins). BUT!!!!! I do catch a little bit of TFC/GMA every once in a while. John Lloyd is great. Judy Ann Santos is too. Based on the few episodes I've seen, Maging Sino Ka Man and Sa Piling Mo have pretty good storylines. Maging Sino Ka Man also has a great theme song : P Also, I'll suggest you guys doing some Maalaala Mo Kaya if you guys can get a hold of them.
btw, why are most of the replies from fluent tagalog speakers? they don't need subtitles, do they? O_o unless they just want the RAWs.
