We're looking for finetimers, typesetters and encoders to join the Littlix! Sub team!
Finetiming
A finetimer comes into play after the script had been translated, checked and edited. You will take the script and then load the audio file, then go through every line and adjust them so that they start exactly when the speech starts and ends at the correct time when the speech ends. Of course, you'll have to also have common sense to make decisions such as extend the sub time beyond the normal speech time so that it's readable but not too long after that it overlaps with the next line. Thus, you are making sure that none of the subs are too abrupt or overtimed. If appropriate, you will also split some subs into two lines and time them properly (Speeches with gaps of ~1 second in between). Lastly, you will watch through the sub you timed with the video to make sure that they don't scene bleed (sub still appearing when the scene has changed).
Typesetting
You will be responsible for choosing the fonts, colours, styles and also the positioning of scene styles required by special scenes (Such as titles, signs, etc). On a lesser extent, you might also be asked to work on Opening and Ending karaoke and effects.
Encoding
Encoding is not hard to do, but hard to master. Technically anyone can encode with the right programs and codecs installed, so how will you come into play? Simple. You must be a GOOD encoder. You must know how to mess with the settings of x264 and XviD, using alternative containers such as mkv, and in general being able to encode high quality files at the lowest bitrate possible.
Littlix! Subs work on various projects, mainly focused on Johnny's Entertainment.
