I think quite many people say they speak some language even if they have studied it for (a little) while. I'm a Finn and yea, I have studied Finnish, Swedish, German, English, Korean and Japanese, but I'd never say I actually spoke any other than Finnish and English unless I really thought I'd be able to survive from everyday life with that language.

However, I'm sure there are bilingual etc people here as well.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing...that's why I didn't include Japanese. Unless you can be a great fansubber, I don't think you have the right to say that you can speak it hahahaha

Romanian here. I speak Romanian, Italian (and a bit of Sicilian dialect),
Spanish, French and I can understand Portuguese and Latin (I even studied in school but never used it). Actually amazed by asian
culture and willing to learn Korean (w/ Hangul) and Mandarin.

KOREA FTW!!!

Filipino-Vietnamese, but I was born in the US. I speak English, and a bit of Filipino and Japanese, and almost zero Vietnamese. My mom was not raised in her home country, that's why.

I want to learn more Japanese and Korean, and Vietnamese too.
