Edit: Regarding the poem...

The poem's background is the late Song dynasty, where the northern half was already conquered by the Jin. The poem was written by Xin Qiji to his friend, Chen Liang. Both of them are avid supporters of their beloved kingdom. Xin Qiji was already a long time general at that point, whereas Chen Liang had been trying hard to pass the imperial exam to become an officer, yet to no avail. However, after trying so many times, Chen Liang succeeded in passing the exam and became an officer. He was more than 50 years old at that point. Too bad, Chen Liang only managed to serve the court for about two years and he died. This poem is Xin Qiji's eulogy to him. This poem might be for the reminiscence of their years serving the kingdom. They've shared battles and victories, hoping to restore the kingdom.

The hard points are:
* Short couplets with secondary / tertiary meaning.
* 800-li turns out to be a cow's name, which was broiled for a victory celebration.
* Ambiguity in a lot of phrases.

We couldn't have cracked the meaning of this poem without an explanation. Thanks to Ueda Jiro who pointed us to the right direction.

Thank you team Jiang Hu, great work as always!! This is a great series so far, I really like every body in this series. Bobby and Eva did a great job, and the action scenes are superb.

Just wondering, does this series have an OST? I really like the opening theme.

just a question does it spoil anything if I watch crimson sabre 2000 before watching that version? Is the two version similar?
