Stealing & Selling Fansub done by D-addicts???!!

Hey, to let you guys know....recently my sis and I bought a korean drama called "Que Sera Sera," and it was either a bootleg or a imported version. It had english subtitles.

Anyway. we were watching the first episode. and the one thing we noticed that the english subtitles were pretty good cuz we used to buy other korean drama by the same comapny and they were absolutely horrible!! But we decided to buy another korean drama since they were pretty cheap....cost like $17 per drama....about 8 discs.

Anyway, when the first episode came to a end.....yah.....a english sentence came out and it says like FREE FANSUB and go to www.d-addicts.com

I am not exactly a new member since I used to download asian dramas here years ago.......probably when I was in middle school or in high school......now in college.

I stop since I keep on getting my computer virus and it really lags my computer and so I stopped downloading stuff....

But when it said "FREE FANSUBS" and "www.d-addicts.com" i I knew that they took it from you guys!

The things is. that they only obtained about 8 episodes I think....cuz those signs disappear and the english subtitles had gotten really, really bad.....extremely bad....

I didn't know that they would steal fabsubs and then sell it to the public. The thing is, that the dvd box set looks pro except when for the casing for the diiscs. Also, the discs looks really real too!. Not those cheaps one that you can make it yourself.

So, what do you guys think?

I can post some pix of the box set and the discs.

It's either D-Fansubs work or crystalis's subs for Que Sera Sera. This is getting quite annoying, can you provide some screenshots of the opening, the middle of the episode, and the ending? Thanks.

Though it is extremely annoying that people would do that. What can we actually do about it? The forum is public and I'm pretty sure fansubs are not legally protected under copy right laws. The only way to stop people from stealing fansubber's work and selling it is to stop fansbbing. Which would make no one happy.

Nothing you can really do. It's happened many times before and has been discussed many times as well. I don't really think seeing pictures would accomplish anything. I would like to ask you to send me the site name via PM. I'd ask you to post it here, but it just might send that site some traffic and sales. Unless of course it was Ebay which is notorious for having D-addicts stuff sold.

i have that box set too and i notice that the subs at less for the firsts 4 episodes (that i remember) are from d-addicts. I was really surprise because i have more dvds like (same version) que sera sera and i never have seen that the subs were from d-addicts. And that kinda of version aren't like cheap copies, i like to call then the cheap original ones.

Like Puppet Princess and InTr4nceWeTrust had said, no use getting the screenshots because these kind of things been happening a lot lately. Nothing we can do to prevent it from happening.

Wow thats a really bad thing to do. Well i guess the CD for the drama would have to cost for something as for the subs they did mention D-addicts so i wouldnt count that as stealing

haha... bootlegers make at least 2 or 3 hundred times profit on stuff they put a minimal amount of effort into. It's actually quite brilliant. Illegal and immoral... but brilliant.

WAAAAHHH!!! Well that totally reaks of theft!! *Sigh* Some people jus don't know where to stop. And it's kinda true...nothing we can do really, fansubs are not protected, neither is D-addicts, so all we can do is sit and watch as they steal right from under our noses. Those sly,rude, crude, and tattood people! One day justice will be on our side fansubers, one day.
