Hi! I just downloaded Aegisub and I started it but everytime I open a video it doesn't display the preview because the preview screens is black and audio doesn't work.
I'm sure to have installed right the software and to have installed all codecs needed.
Do you have any idea of how can I solve the problem?

This would actually probably belong in the tech support forum.

In any case, what kind of video are you opening? Is it an avi? and mpeg? an rmvb? and mp4? When you say you have the necessary codec installed, does it mean that you can play the video in windows media player?

If it's Aegisub for Linux or OSX then that's normal, because video support is broken for those platforms.

I tried to open only videos in .avi, usually I can open them whith media player, bs player and videolan and I never had problems to display them, I have problems only with Aegisub.
I installed Avisynth with Aegisub too, but the problem remains.
Maybe do I have to download other codecs?
Or could it depends on RAM, disc space etc...?
Ah! I forgot to say that I'm working with Windows XP...

Have you tried checking the actually Aegisub forums for help? (http://www.malakith.net/aegisub/) They'd probably have a better idea on how to handle your problem. Smile
