Jiang Hu Fansub presents...

From: http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Sword_Stained_With_Royal_Blood

Swordplay novels by Jin Yong (aka Louis Cha) have been adapted into numerous TV series and films. Sword Stained With Royal Blood is no exception. Mainland Chinese director Zhang Jizhong, after turning a few Jin Yong novels into well-received TV series, adapts Sword Stained With Royal Blood into an intriguing swordplay drama, with more historical elements added compared to previous versions. Singer/actor Bobby Dou stars as Yuan Chengzhi, son of a general who has been killed by the emperor. He comes across a beautiful girl named Qingqing, portrayed by Eva Huang from Kungfu Hustle, and they embark on exciting adventures together, with Yuan still bearing in mind his desire to avenge his father's death. On his journey, he befriends another girl, Jiu, but it is only after they have formed a close relationship that she reveals her real identity as the royal princess, daughter of the emperor who killed Yuan's father.

Edit: Torrent for first episode here.

I just want to ask... when i went to Jiang Hu's forum , they said :
Quote:
Sword Stained with Royal Blood is a very good series. But considering all factors (including other upcoming projects), we may consider it next year or even later, if we don't get any extra help soon.

And now 1st episode was released (?!) Goggle eyes i was confused...

PS: can i upload the direct links of your project and share with everybody ? Of course i won't forget credit to Jiang Hu group

The reason why I said that (the quote) is because

01. It is true. We're understaffed.
02. I don't want to make empty promises to sub it so soon.

You're seeing the subs now because abcd99 took his own initiative to sub it. We have since decided to put two of our other projects on hold and take it up.

I just finished watching this series. Overall, it was very good. Jin Yong stories are always excellent. For those unfamiliar, he uses the WuXia genre to help convey his political ideals (w/ historical context set in that era). This particular series was definitely more historically / politically involved than like LOCH or ROCH.

Being a big WuXia fan, the first episode was pretty boring imo, and successfully turned off my gf to the rest of the series. Luckily for me, I stuck with it, and after episode 3, was hooked until the end. For some reason, this is a series that captures you more as it goes on, as opposed to instant love like ROCH 2006.

The highlights:

I honestly think this is the best martial arts choreography of any WuXia film I've ever seen. Kudos for a 2007 production. Episode 1 aside, the choreography is reminiscent of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon; you can tell the main character has a strong martial arts background. In fact, he looks like a young Jet Li. The fight choreography was what helped me grind through the first few episodes until Eva Huang (Qing Qing) showed up. I swear, Eva looks a lot like Liu Yi Fei to me.

The second highlight is that the series seems to have an amazing number of cute girls! Eva Huang aside, It seems like many of them graduated from the Beijing Film Academy, so you kinda wonder if being cute / pretty is an entrance requirement =) For those who don't know, some fan sites have mentioned the actress who played Ah Jiu (Sun Fei Fei) was originally casted / confirmed as Xiao Long Nu in ROCH 2006, until Liu Yi Fei 'usurped' her part.

So I guess one of the reasons the series kept getting better is cuz of the appearance of all the cuties throughout =)

Overall, a very good job on this series, and I definitely recommend it strongly. Good luck with the fan sub; I know those who already started watching the series are eagerly awaiting the rest of the subs.

P.S. My only regret is seeing it in the lower quality .rmvb. I'm sure I would have enjoyed the color and series much more if I was able to get hold of some high quality .AVIs RAWS =(
