I watched the first half of the thing... hilarious. And the producers must have been on meth or something. Seriously. In case you don't speak English, here's an explanation of the first scene:
Hidden:
They are sperms trying to get to the egg, and the main guy was talking about how he won only because of luck.
My (English-speaking-only) friend really wants someone to pick up this project, but as far as I know, no group has claimed it yet. (It is a brand new show, after all.) Correct me if I am wrong, so I can direct her to the fansub group.

You can do one of several things:
1.) Approach fansub groups and offer them your services, and see if any fansub group would like to pick up the project.
2.) Start your own fansub group by making a post on in the fansubbing forum, and see if you can get a timer (I'm assuming that you would translate). For soft subs, you basically only need a translator and a timer. If you want to be more perfectionist, you can get editors, QCs, and/or encoders for hardsubs.
3.) You can do it yourself. Learn to time. Some of the subtitling programs are very intuitive and easy to learn.

***Decided to re-post my own review from another forum I read.***
So far, the shows this year started out all right. Summer x Summer got my interest but then it just started to get annoying. I really had a blast with My Lucky Star, but it started to lose a little steam IMHO once it got to the later episodes. And Corner with Love is starting to get repetitive. Recently, I saw that 18 Jin Bu Jin's been getting a lot of views on YouTube. I didn't really want to start watching a new drama series when I hadn't finished watching the others, but curiosity got the best of me.
I was a bit hesitant at first because I thought it would be some gimmicky show that uses potty humor and American Pie-like jokes to attention whore itself. After seeing the first episode, I didn't realize how wrong I would be. The first three episodes blew me away in how much heart the characters showed, backed up by a touching soundtrack/score. By the fifth episode, the show actually keeps its awesome momentum (the last part of the fifth episode staked its claim as one of my favorite scenes in a Taiwanese drama). I'm not usually impressed by a Taiwanese drama series, but I now stand corrected.
What's there not to love about the show? The main character is a innocent guy that you want to root for as he deals with his peers through his year year in high school. His ensemble of guy friends are kooky in their own right with personalities that surprisingly mesh. The girls are a great counter to the guys and deal with them in their own clever methods. The main character's dad is an awesome addition to the cast that ranks up there to the dad from American Pie, while special guests Faye and Hei Ren add their own charm to an already charming show.
In all, 18JBJ is not just a great Taiwanese drama. It's a great show period. The humor doesn't try to be blatant like SxS, the acting isn't overly dramatic like in CWL, and the plot doesn't seem forced like in MLS. 18JBJ doesn't rely on overhyped star power or an overplayed pop soundtrack to drive the series. It doesn't have that. What it does rely on is excellent scriptwriting and great character chemistry to drive the series.
The only crime this show suffers is that it doesn't get the same attention as this year's other dramas. Don't get me wrong though. Those shows are good even in any other year, but 18JBJ is definitely a keeper that more Taiwanese high school dramas should follow.
