I must say, the first episode of snow queen was probably one of the best pilots i've ever seen for a drama. unfortunately after that, the drama turned into a very typical love/hate plot with not much more to offer (in my opinion, of course.) Nothing spectacular about the acting, the story line was very typical, the chemistry between the two leads was okay... there were some really funny scenes though with the guys from the boxing gym.

overall i was satisfied with the drama, but the first episode really blew me away... and i felt it kind of declined from there.

does anyone else share this opinion?

i give the series a 7.5/10

I think if you stick on till the end, it wouldn't be that disappointing. I liked the leading actress who looks so beautiful throughout the series and I liked the leading actor (he looked kinda haggard here cos his character is supposed to be like that). Overall, it wasn't so bad even though it's sappy.

yeah i kind of agree that it was a bit disappointing as it played out, but i still gave it a 10/10 because even with the disappointment, it was that good. i didnt like episode 1, but i absolutely loved episode 2. i thought it could have been a movie all on its own

This topic title is kinda spoilerisch Sad

Better to change it into "about the end of snow queen"

It's okay not too spoilerish. I figure that it will have some sort of sad ending, I don't mind if it does I just hope it will be a good one. I have to admit that I couldn't get past the first episode so I ffwd most of it and got hooked on ep 2! Then I rewatched ep 1 and now I'm one episode 13. I am in LOVE with it so far. I just need to finish downloading so I can watch the end. I'm just dying here. -.- I just hope the issues will get resolved and the ending will be good.

i disagree...being disappointed in an ending doesn't necessarily mean that you are giving away any spoilers...unless a personal opinion is a spoiler...which it can't really be, can it?

someone saying "ugh, that movie was horrible" doesn't actually tell you anything about the movie

this is interesting, a lot of you guys didn't like episode 1 but really liked episode 2 and on. i really liked episode 1, and thought episode 2 and above was kind of mediocre.

also, i don't think the title is a spoiler, but if it is, then i don't mind of the mods change it. this drama is like a year old, right?

ok, for what i have read in soompi forum back when the snow queen just ended, there are some rumors that the director actually make 2 ending... another one is suppose to be a happy ending. i remember seeing some of the "happy ending picture" that was post at soompi... but unfortunately, the another sequence of the ending never goes to air. Sad
but still, then ending is still good.. at least better then autumn tale. Glare

I hesitated watching this drama upon learning that it was yet another one of those love stories where one of the characters is stricken by an incurable disease. But I have to agree that the first episode was superb. It had a different spin on how the two main characters met and I have to admit, I also enjoyed the bit about Hyun Bin being a math genius.

After that, it turned into a typical korean drama. Crazy

By episode 2 or 3, only newbies to korean dramas or die hard fans of the actors would appreciate going through the whole thing. Good thing the ending was satisfactory, given the direction of the plot.

I'm a fan of Hyun Bin... but this K-series just didn't hit home for me. I dunno why the emotional well and the chemistry between the leads weren't deep enough.

That's just me.

My friend was so addicted to this drama and kept telling me to watch it. But, unfortunately when I didn't share the same enthusiasm. I thought the storyline was good at first though, but then everything became too "coincidental" and it seemed like this drama took pieces of other sappy dramas already made and rolled it into one. I stopped watching halfway through. Also, I thought the beginning was weird with Hyun Bin and that little girl. They didn't match because she looked way young. I think they should have had a younger actor portray his character as a teenager.

The main actress was really beautiful with a great character and I liked the main actor's character to some degree (except for him carrying around his feelings of guilt for so long. ><) The story in general was a bit disappointing - there wasn't much depth to it and it was a little too predictable and cliche. I was expecting a little bit more than this.

I really liked this drama. The first episode was really good...assuming you could get past the lead character as a high school student hehe. I totally disagree with the people calling what followed sappy and lacking depth. I saw many similarities with A Love To Kill were, like here, many people could not pick up the subtle points in the plot or just disregarded them. I wonder if people who thought that way have also watched Alone In Love and thought the same. scratch

yeah i liked the math genius part, but i think they could have explored that a little more. really, they used it as a reason to kill off his friend in the first episode, then just kind of tied it up in the final episode.

also, im a fan of hyun bin, but his character in this drama was really... kind of a p*ssy. sorry of that offends anyone. throughout the entire drama he kinda just takes the crap that people throw at him. im still not sure why he fell in love with the girl in the first place. she was a real **** to him
