Masaya Kato from the TV show / movie "Unfair" is going to play Seijuro Yoshioka. Notice his brother is missing from the main character cast list? The character of Seijuro Yoshioka in other media is usually handsome, deadly and aloof. Something to note. Masaya Kato is much older and more rugged than your average depiction of Seijuro Yoshioka.

Takashi Tsukamoto Wub

is playing Toji Gion. Most audiences might remember Tsukamoto best from being in Battle Royale, where he played the computer hacker Mimura. His character in Kenzan, Gion, was part of the Yoshioka school who wanted revenge against Musashi. They sometimes depict him as principled or disciplined and other times (more often) as a bit of a rake and talented but brash pleasure-seeker. In contrast to the casting of Kato as Seijuro, Toji Gion is usually shown as being a bit older and more rugged. Here they have gone for the fresh-faced handsome Tsukamoto. That makes me thinkg they might exaggerate the "rakish braggard" side of things even more in Kenzan.

Hiroki Matsukata, a wonderful actor who has been in a million movies including a lot of samurai ones and a true-blue classic "Battles Without Honour Or Humanity", is going to be in the game as a 'mysterious monk'. The cast list didn't give his name, but this monk is probably the famous monk Takuan. In almost all versions of Musashi's story, Takuan is a very wise, likeable but strict monk with a caustic sense of humor. It's Takuan's teaching and tough love that sets Musashi on the right path, and every so often he turns up again to help his project along. Could it be that after Musashi goes off the rails a bit, living a decedant life in the red light district, Takuan reappears to help straighten him out? Sounds likely as one of the kick offs to the story along with Haruka's request.

The very famous actor and comedian Naoto Takenaka is in the game as Nagayoshi Marume

I love Matsuda Shota too.. ever since HanaDan days..but I loved him even more in LIAR GAME.
I've heard of LIAR GAME a long time ago but I only watched and finished it today because I don't like Erika Toda much which is the sole reason of why I prolonger watching it but for the sake of Shota--i finally did! It was sooo good!!! hahaha lol. Erika toda's alright though I love Inoue Mao and Horikita Maki more. ^^
