Yipee, I finally found something to watch this season. And it got picked up by a fast and competent subber. Lucky!
siantut, thank you for giving us a good show, I look forward to enjoying it with you. I wanted to watch your hardsub version because it had the commercials included, but if it's too much of a hassle for you, don't stress yourself over it.
I'm betting on this show to become the season's hit, both in Japan and in the d-addicts community. If they don't stray too far from the manga, it should be a safe bet.
I will make the hard-subbed video later after I am sure there is nothing much that can be improved on the softsubs...then I will either try to upload it myself or as someone suggested to me by PM, to upload it somewhere and give the link to either Ruroshin or Gryzze....
I will make it according to the norm here, about 700 mb

Thanks for subbing this drama, Siantut. =)
I'm glad I finally found something good to watch this season. I always thought this season was full of BS... not anymore, I guess. It totally surprised me at how awesome this drama was. I used to dislike both the male and female lead in this drama too due to horrible roles given to them in the past... but it looks as if I found some new obsessions too. hahaha.
Tamaki Hiroshi seems to have grown a bit since the last time I saw him. And Ueno Juri is veryy cute. ^^;; They make a good match. ;)

This drama turned out to be a lot better than I expected. Ive read the first 2 vol of the manga and it didnt appeal to me that much. But OMG! The drama is great!
All those little special effect was really well done! It surprised me how they fit so well in the drama cuz I used to think this type of thing would kill the mood of the drama.
+ I've seen Ueno Juri in Kindaichi but I didnt like her that much. But for this drama she is toooo adorable! The way she say stuffs is just to cute.
Judging from the first EP, this would probably be my fav dramas of this season along with 14 no haha.
Anyway, I'd like to take my time to thanks to all those who subbing this serie.

Main thing I like about the drama is that the main characters are extremely well cast and feel just right for the character, particularly Nodame, which is critical, as she is the title character. Ueno Juri has the body type and body language that makes it feel like she just stepped out of a shojo comic. This is definitely on my must see list for this season
I just rented the first 14 volumes of the manga and read the first volume, the first half of the ep effectively matches scene for scene of the drama, it was GREAT!!!

Looks like episode 2 ramped up the screwball factor by more than a few notches. I wonder what instrument the mascot will play?
P.S. Episode 2 scored a 16.1% rating, down from the previous episode but still respectable, consistent with a general decline in viewership for doramas across the board in the second week of the season.

I really do love this drama - it translated pretty well from the manga. What I'd really like to know is what all the songs are in the episode! I know the major ones (ie, Beethoven's "pathetique" and Mozart's Sonata in D Major for 2 Pianos), but what about all the background music? My friend told me some Shostakovich was in there too, but I'm not that up on my classical music ;_; It ought to be a project!
