Hi, this is my first post here. My daughter is 10 and a J/E bilingual. She really enjoyed the last NHK Asa Dora about the piano playing lady Kirari, and is eagerly waiting for me to let her watch Imo Tako Nankin. Is it going to be Torrented here? When? And thanks all for your hard work! We are overseas, and get NO other J-TV at all. It's really appreciated!
If not, which dramas would be suitable for a 10 yr. old who has just started watching dramas ?
Please do not recommend "14sai no Haha"!
The first episode was cute. I like that actress. She's always quite funny, even when she's trying to be serious. The drama is clearly playing on her struggle against chauvenism, and her struggle to develop her own skills. The drama is set in 1962 Osaka, but has already had a flashback to when she was a child. It's quite lighthearted so far, but you can see she's rather irritated with the men in her life so far.
Episode 1:
Hidden:
The bumping the stack of obentos, her bosses trying to get angry at her, then being nice to the 'cute' OL was funny. It used to happen all too often. Then going after the guy with sticks at the end was cute. Women just didn't do that sort of thing then.
