A Person who Speaks through Songs.

在跟力宏连线的前几天，其实我还抽空去拜访了力宏大学时代的室友Stefan。他最近刚好在台工作，力宏的唱片公司同事帮我联络上了他。
A few days before I was on the phone with Leehom, I had actually spared time to go meet his friend from college, Stefan.
我们先聊了很多力宏大学的事。也许是我做的那些功课，也同样唤起他许多大学时期的美好回忆，我们越聊越开心，我觉得我的诚恳和努力，已经赢得他的信任了。
We talked about many things that happened to Leehom in college. And probably as a result of this homework I was doing, he was able to recall many good memories from college, the more we talked, the happier we became, and I think because of my sincerity and diligence, I had also won his trust.
“其实我最难了解的，就是力宏的爱情。他好象从来不愿意谈他的感情生活。难道他在感情上受过创伤？”我很诚恳地问，希望他能帮忙解开这个迷。
"Actually, the thing I have most difficulty understanding, is Leehom's love-life. He never seemed willing to speak about it. Is it cause he has been wounded by love before?" I asked very sincerely, hoping that Stefan would be able to help me from this confusion.
“创伤？应该不算吧。感情的事本来就勉强不来……，但我知道他真心爱过一个女孩，也曾深深为她伤心过。”他想了想，又说：“力宏是我所见过的男孩子中，最痴情的一个，他的感情，是非常集中而专一的。”然后他摇摇头，“那场Long-distanced的恋爱，也可以一谈谈五年……，他们其实非常相爱，但最后还是选择分手，我们都非常替他们可惜……”
"Wounded? I don't think it was like that. You can't ever force love between a couple......, but I know he truly loved that one girl, and was once deeply hurt by her." he thought for a moment, and said, "Out of all the guys I have met, Leehom is the most dedicated[attached] lover, his love, was extremely focused[intense] and loyal." Then he shook his head, "That long distance relationship, went for five years......, they actually really loved each other, but in the end, they still chose to breakup, we all felt what a great pity it was for them......."
“他们怎么认识的？”我问。
"How did they meet each other? I asked.
“我们都是Williams的同学，大一的时候一起选修中文而认识的。其实她比我们大一届，他是中美混血，但不会说中文。”他回想着，微笑出来
"We were classmates in Williams College. In first year, we all chose to study chinese and thus met. Actually she was from the year above us, she was a half asian, half american, but couldn't speak chinese." He smiled slightly, as he recalled.
“一开始我就看出来，力宏很喜欢她。她很漂亮，又有点顽皮，特别喜欢作弄力宏，后来我们熟了之后，她才告诉我，她原来对中文没什么兴趣，因为知道力宏在学中文，所以，她也兴起了学中文的念头。”
"From the beginning I could see that Leehom really liked her. She was very beautiful, and was a bit mischievous, and especially liked to tease[play] with Leehom. Afterwards when we knew each other better, she told me that she has no interest in learning chinese, but because Leehom was also studying chinese, she then also became excited at the thought of learning it."
“后来呢？”我急着问。
"What happened afterwards?" I anxiously asked.
“后来啊……”他又笑出来，“不善言词的力宏，就为她写了一首歌。你听过那首Last Night吗？就是力宏为它写的……”，他随即像吟咏一首情事诗那样轻轻念出来：“Last night I watched you sleep as you lay there. I dropped down to my knees and said a prayer. I leaned over softly to kiss your beautiful face. But I could not cross the ocean of your grace.”
"Afterwards......" He smiled again, "Leehom, who wasn't good at expressing himself verbally, decided to write a song for her. Have you heard his song 'Last Night'? Leehom wrote this song for her......", He immediately recited aloud, gently, as though he were reciting a love poem, "Last night I watched you sleep as you lay there. I dropped down to my knees and said a prayer. I leaned over softly to kiss your beautiful face. But I could not cross the ocean of your grace."
“Last Night也是我最爱力宏的创作之一！”我兴奋的说。我分享了当我第一次听见这首歌，脑海中浮现的那个深刻的画面：一个羞涩的纯情男孩，看着深深仰慕的的女孩，在月光下沉沉入睡的面孔，只敢俯身在她的额头轻轻一吻，然后跪在她的身旁，向上帝说出心中对她的感觉――只有亲身经历过那种感受，才能写出那股纯情，却欲言又止的文字吧！
"Last Night is also my most favourite song that Leehom has ever composed!" I said excitedly. I shared with him this profound image that would appear in my mind when I first listened to this song: A shy, innocent guy, admiring the girl's face, as she falls asleep under the moonlight, only daring to bend down and gently kiss her forehead, and then kneeling beside her, would express to God the feelings he felt for her - - Only if you have experienced this feeling in real life, can you write such innocent lyrics, where the words will start to speak but hesitate, to you."
“我相信这首歌一定打动了她的心吧？”我说。
"The song must've moved her heart, right?" I said.
“其实他们对彼此都有好感，白天选一样的课，晚上又一起做功课，很自然就变成了好朋友。像力宏的‘在每一秒里，都想见到你'和‘As long as I have you'都是写给她的啊！”他突然雀跃起来，“你对力宏的歌熟悉吗？他的感情故事，其实都写在他的歌里了！”
"They actually already had good feelings for each other, they chose the same classes in the day, at ngiht, they would do homework together, and naturally they became really good friends. Leehom's 'Zai Mei Yi Miao Li, Dou Xiang Jian Dao Ni' and 'As long as I have you' were both written for her!"
He suddenly jumped up, "Do you know Leehom's songs well? All his stories about his love and feelings, are actually written into his own songs!"
我听过很多力宏的歌，那些深情而真挚的作品，却不知道，原来都是力宏自己深刻的故事啊。
I've listened to many of Leehom's song, the emotional and sincere[impassioned] works, but I never knew, that these were actually Leehom's own heartfelt experiences and stories.
“力宏大二那年暑假，是他们交往后的第一次分开。力宏的‘Dream again'写的就是他们相隔两地的深深思念。”
"The summer holidays of Leehom's second year in college, was the first time they'd been seperated, since they started going out. Written in Leehom's 'Dream Again' is the feelings of how much they missed each other as they were separated in two different countries."

“但是真正的爱情，应该是经得起考验的”我说。
"But real love, should be able to withstand these tests." I said
“恩。其实那时候是没什么问题的。96年暑假，力宏在台湾发的那一张专集，突然让他红了起来，唱片公司为了培植他，寒假又把召回台湾去发行‘好想你'――那年冬天的感恩节他在台湾录音，圣诞节和新年又要回台湾宣传，所以那年的暑假和寒假，力宏都没有办法陪在她身边。”
"Yeh. There wasn't acutally any problem during this time. In the summer holidays of 96', the album Leehom released in Taiwan suddenly made him popular, so the record company decided to make him come back in the winter holidays to promote it, so as to build his popularity. 'Hao Xiang Ni' - He spent that year's thanksgiving in Taiwan recording, and had to spend Christmas and New Year's in Taiwan promoting. So then, Leehom couldn't spend any of that year's summer or winter holidays with her."
“她很介意吗？”我问。
"Did she really mind?" I asked.
“她虽然心里不高兴，但每次力宏从台湾回到学校，他们就又和好如了。”
"Even though she was not happy inside, each time Leehom came back to school from Taiwan, they'd still make up and be all good again."
他突然想起来什么，继续说：“但是97年的暑假，她的确发了一顿脾气因为那年暑假也是她的毕业旅行，他们毕业班的同学约好去欧洲旅行，她当然非常希望力宏能陪她去，我们都知道力宏也很想陪她去，他试着跟唱片公司请假，但没有被批准。我们这伙好朋友，虽然是三年级的学生，在那年暑假也都跟着那班毕业生一起到欧洲玩了一趟。力宏一个人到台湾去工作。我们都知道力宏其实非常想跟我们一起到欧洲去玩，但是他不得不一个人到台湾去工作。”
He suddenly thought of something, and continued to speak: "But in the summer holiday's of 97', she had an outburst, because she was going to go on a holiday to celebrate graudation. Her fellow graduating classmates had planned a trip to Europe, and of course, she really wanted Leehom to go with her, and we knew that Leehom also really wanted to go with her too. He tried to ask his record company for a holiday leave, but they wouldn't allow it. Even though we were only third year college students, us group of friends also went along to Europe with the graduating students to have fun, while Leehom stayed in Taiwan, alone, working. We all knew that Leehom really wanted to come with us to Europe, but he was forced to stay in Taiwan, by himself, and work.
我想着那种心情……，却不得不承认，如果我是唱片公司的老板，应该也不会批准那张请假单――因为一张唱片从制作，企划到宣传，短短三个月的时间，都几乎不够用了，怎么可能还会让歌手请假呢？
I thought of that kind of mood......., and I couldn't not admit that, if I was the record companies boss, I probably wouldn't have permitted the holiday leave application - - Because the production of an album, from producing to promotion, is all in a short period of three months, which is almost not even enough, how could there be the possibility that I would still let the singer take holiday leave?
“你们的欧洲之行，一定很开心吧。”我说，那么美丽的地方。
"During the trip to Europe, you guys must've been so happy." I said, since there's so many beautiful places there.
“是很好玩啊！虽然我们在旅途中有时候，觉得她并不是玩的很开心，因为她无法接受力宏把事业看得比她重要。但那场旅行结束后，她还是又回到了Williams。”
"It was really fun! Even though during the trip, there were times where I could feel that she was really unhappy, because she could not accept the fact that Leehom put work in a more important position then her. But when the holiday ended, she still went back to Williams."
“所以她还是爱力宏的。”我松了一口气说。
"So then she still loves Leehom." I let out a sigh of relief.
“是啊！虽然她是学商的，但毕业后她也没有到大城市去工作，反而选择了留在Williams这个小城市工作，就是为了能和力宏在一起。”
"Yes! Even though she studied business, she still didn't leave to work in the big cities after she graduated, but instead, she chose to stay in the town of Williams to work, so that she could be with Leehom."
“那不是很好吗？”我不解地问。
"Isn't that very good then?" I continued to ask.
“是好，也是不好。因为暑假结束力宏从台湾回来，就立刻日以继夜地开始毕业论文的编写。那时我们都是大四的学生，功课很忙，并不觉得有什么异样，但是她已经毕业了，白天上班，晚上下班后没什么事情，当然希望力宏能多陪陪她。”
"It was good and not good in a way. Because once these summer holidays ended, Leehom returned from Taiwan, and went straight to beginning to write and plan his graduation thesis. At that time, we were fourth year college students and had alot of homework. We didn't think it would be any different, but she had already graduated. In the day she'd work, but in the evenings she had nothing to do, and consequently, she certaintly hoped Leehom would accompany her."
“问题就是那个时候开始的？”我有一种悲伤的预感。
"The problem started during this period of time?" I felt a kind of sad apprehension.
“多少是吧！我们那时候每天回到宿舍，都会到力宏的房间，听听〕他那天又创作了什么新音乐，一开始都还会看到她，后来就越来越少遇见她了春天的时候，就听说她在大城市找到新工作，离开了Williams。”
"More or less! Each day we'd go back to our dormitories, and we'd all go into Leehom's room, to listen to what kind of new music he had composed during that day. In the beginning we would see her, but time went on, we saw her less and less, and in spring, we heard that she had found a new job in the city and was leaving Williams."
“力宏一定很难过。”我说。
"Leehom must have felt really bad." I said.
“其实当时力宏觉得还好，因为他对这段感情有信心，他是一个专一而死心塌地的人，他们每天都会通上两三次电话，力宏那这段感情看得很长远，他觉得她到大城市，在大公司里有更好的发展，他是学商的，他不应该将她牵绊她在Williams这个小城。”然后他又忍不住叹了口气，“但是力宏四月份在学校做的四场毕业论文公演，她一场都没有来。我知道力宏很失望，因为他的毕业论文，起码有一半以上，都是为她而写的。”他突然停下来问我：“你知道力宏毕业论文的内容吗？”
"Actually, at the time, Leehom felt that it would still be good, because he had confidence in this relationship.. he was devoted, one and only, to her. Each day they would speak two, three times on the phone, Leehom had even looked into the long term, and felt that she would have more chances of development/promotion, working in the large companies in the city. She studied business and he didn't want to tie her down in the small town of Williams."
“我知道。”我若有所思地回答，我问个力宏那个问题――那是力宏口中
"I know. " I pensively replied. I had already asked Leehom that question - - This came from Leehom.
“97年从台湾回到学校时的心中感触”，而那出百老汇舞台剧，说的是一个偶像歌手和爱情的故事。
"Feelings from the heart when I had returned from Taiwan to college in 97'.", in this Broadway musical, was a story about a idol singer and his love.
“当力宏的毕业论文舞台剧‘The Bite That Burns'获得空前的成功在最后一场演出的庆功宴上，大家都好兴奋，好开心，只有力宏却怅然若失着……，我们知道他多么希望她的出现，来分享他的成功和喜悦，而她终于还是缺席了……，我们都为力宏感到心疼。”
"Leehom's graduation thesis, musical 'The Bite That Burns' obtained unprecedented success after the final performance, and during the celebration feast, everyone was very excited and really happy. Only Leehom was doleful and dejected......., We knew that he really wanted her to come, so he could share his success and joy, but in the end, she never came......, We all felt broken-hearted for Leehom."
“感情的事，局外人总是陪着难过，却很难判断对与错啊。”我说。
"Love problems/matters..... outsiders can only accompany in sharing the pain, but it is still hard for us to know who/what was right or wrong." I said.
“我知道她在离开Williams时，曾让力宏在她和音乐之间作一个选择，力宏不是那种花言巧语或口是心非的人，他说他爱她和爱音乐一样，都是长远而永恒……，他没有办法选择其一，或者放弃任何一个。”
"I know when she was leaving Williams, she once asked Leehom to choose between her or music, Leehom isn't one of those who are dishonest/decietful and speak sweetened words, he said she loved her and music equally, both were long-term and eternal......, he could not choose one, or let go of one."
“这个不会说话的傻瓜啊。”我扼腕地说。同时也想到当时的力宏，身兼学生和歌手的双重身份，如此分身乏术的满载状态……，有许多歌手就先放弃学业了，而力宏不但完成了学业，还交出了一张漂亮的成绩单，但又有谁知道他曾在背后做过如此大的牺牲呢？
"This fool that cannot speak/express himself properly." I said, grapsing my wrist. At the same time, I thought what Leehom must've felt then, being both a student and singer, he'd have been doing several things at the same time and must've been loaded with work......., many singers decide to give up on their studies, however, Leehom not only finished his formal education, but he also handed over an excellent school report as well. But who would know that behind the scenes, Leehom had made such a big scarifice.
“那场恋爱就怎么结束了吗？”我问。
"How did this romance end?" I asked.
“我想那时他们彼此还是不愿意放弃这段感情吧。两个人都似乎还在努力着，1998年我们毕业后，大家各奔前程。那年暑假力宏回到台湾发片，然后九月到Boston的Berklee音乐学院进修。我们那一伙好朋友，有好几个都在Boston找到工作，搬到那里去了而我则是到了纽约。1999年我到Boston去看那群朋友，我们那伙好朋友相约到在力宏的公寓相聚，无意中问起力宏的爱情――他没有多说，只是从电脑的文件里点出这首歌‘Mary Says'……”
"I think at that time, neither of them wanted to give up on their love and relationship. Both seemed like they were trying their best, in 1998, after we graduated, we all moved on, and headed off on our own roads. That summer holiday, Leehom went back to Taiwan to release his album and in September, he went to Boston's Berklee College of Music to continue his studies. Amongst us group of good friends, a few of us had also found jobs in Boston and had moved there, but I went to New York. In 1999, I went to Boston to visit them, and we met up at Leehom's apartment. We unintentionally got to the topic of Leehom's love life - - He didn't say anything, only played the song 'Mary Says' from the files off his computer......."

“我们听着那首歌,懂了那颗受伤的心,气氛一下子凝重起来,真的很替他们难过.倒是力宏反过来安慰我们,他说他觉得她一定会回到他身边的。虽然当时力宏已经知道，在另一个城市的她，以近有了一个热烈的追求者了……”
"As we listened to the song, we understood his broken, hurt heart, the atmosphere immediately became heavy, we really felt bad for them. But in turn, it was Leehom who then comforted us, saying that he felt she would definitely came back to his side. Even though Leehom knew, that she , who lived in another city, had recently had an eager pursuer after her......."
“力宏的哥哥结婚时，婚礼是在密西根的女方家举行，很多Rochester的朋友都未能参加那个婚礼，但却送了厚礼。1999年王家为了答谢朋友的盛情，于是在Rochester设宴款待朋友，我们这群朋友都收到邀请函。我打电话跟力宏说我一定会到，顺便问他还有哪些同学和朋友会来。力宏很愉快地提到了她的名字，‘真的吗？'我好高兴她也会来。‘当然是真的！'力宏热切地说。‘她说她已经买好机票，到时会告诉我班机时间，一定要我到机场去接她噢。'力宏好开心地回答我。”
"When Leehom's elder brother got married, the wedding was held in Michigan, where the bride's family lived. Many friend's from Rochester could not attend the wedding, but still sent generous gifts. In 1999, the Wang family wanted to thank all the friend's great kindness, and decided to hold a reception in Rochester for them, us group of friends also recieved invitations. I rang to tell Leehom that I would be going for sure, I conveniently asked which other schoolmates and friends would be attending. Leehom happily said her name, 'Really?' I was very excited that she'd be coming. 'Of course it's true!' Leehom said enthusiastically. 'She said she already bought the plane ticket, and will tell me her plane arrival time when she knows, and said that I have to go to the airport to meet her.' Leehom very happily told me."
我听着，心中也一阵喜悦，真好。
When I heard this, I felt a moment of joy in my heart, it was really good.
“婚宴那天，我们一伙全到了，走进大厅的门，看见一张好漂亮的桌子，上面放满了鲜花和每一位受邀客人的‘名卡'——‘名卡'上除了受邀宾客的名字，还注明了那位宾客的被安排的桌号和座位。我们这群人当然被贴心地安排在同一桌。从喜宴开始，到宾客们一一离去，我们那桌却始终空着一个位置……，那是她的位置，而她迟迟没有出现。宴会的过程，力宏都在帮着爸妈和哥哥，嫂嫂照顾客人，但我注意到他不时望向大门的眼神。虽然她在喜宴前几天突然‘不见了'，电话或E-mail都联络不到她，力宏心中多么盼望她会突然出现，给他一个大惊喜！但力宏毕竟还是失望了……”
"On the day of the wedding reception, our whole group of friends arrived, and went through the doors to the great hall. We saw a beautiful table that was decorated with many fresh flowers and each guest's 'name card' -- Apart from the guest's name, the 'name card' also had the table number and seat information on it. Us group of friends were specially arranged to sit on the same table. From when the wedding reception began, till the end when guests departed, there had been an empty spot on our table......., this was her spot, she never appeared. During the reception, Leehom was busy helping his parents, big brother and sister-in-law taking care of the guests, but I noticed his gaze when he frequently glanced at the great halls doors. Even though a few days before the reception, she had suddenly 'disappeared', she couldn't be contacted by phone or email, Leehom still really hoped that she'd suddenly appear and give him a big surprise! But in the end, Leehom was to be disappointed."
“吃完饭，有些宾客开始热烈地跳舞，我无意中经过那张放着‘名卡'的桌子，桌子上只剩下孤零零的那一张，在一簇簇美丽的花束中——那是她的名字。力宏就站在那张桌子旁，若有所思地看着那张桌子，完全没有注意到我的存在。”
"After dinner finished, some guests began dancing enthusiastically, I unintentionally walked pass the 'name card' table. There was only one lonely name card left on the table amongst the beautiful flower bunch-- it was her name. Leehom stood beside the table, staring pensively at it, completely oblivious to my existence next to him."
“‘那她一定是临时有事，所以不能来。'我只能如此安慰力宏。然后轻轻拍了他的肩膀，很难再说什么。‘我想也是。'力宏拿起那张‘名卡'放进西装口袋，轻声地说，在那刹那我感觉到了他的脆弱……。”
" 'Something must have suddenly came up, that's why she couldn't come.' I could only comfort Leehom this way. I then lightly patted his shoulder, and couldn't think of anything else to say. 'I also thought that. ' Leehom said feebly, as he took up the 'name card' and placed it in the pocket of his suit. At this moment, I could feel his weakness......"
“真痴情。”我说。
"He is a really attached lover." I said.
“是啊！他还痴情地抱着希望，虽然知道她已经接受了另一个人的爱，却还是盼望她会回到他身边。”他同意我的感叹，接着说：“在2000年的专集里，当我们听到‘告诉我你还爱谁'这首歌时，就知道他们的爱情，已经无法挽回了……。更让我觉得难过的是跟这首歌并存在同一张专集里的那首‘永远的第一天'——他还梦想着会去机场接她的那一刻，而那一天将会是永远的第一天……”
"Yes! He was so attached that he still hugged onto that hopefulness that she would come back to his side, even though he knew she had already accepted love from someone else." He agreed to my sighs, and said: "In his 2000 album, once I heard the song 'Gao Shu Wo Ni Hai Ai Shei', I realised that there was no way their love could be saved....... But what made me really feel bad was another song on the same album 'Yong Yuan De Di Yi Tian' -- He still dreamt of that moment, of going to the airport and meeting her, and how that day would be forever's first day......."
我听着他的描述，说不出话来，心中有什么东西正在纠结着……。故事似乎完结了。而思念呢？却仿佛还在绵延前进……
I listened to his discription, and couldn't say anthing, there was something in my heart intertwining...... The story seemed to have ended, but what about the feelings of missing a person? Those feelings had only continued to grow.....
“2001年的‘唯一'，在那个清晨醒来，然后独自漫步的沙滩，‘是否一颗星星变了心，从前的愿望也全部被抛弃。最近我无法呼吸，连自己的影子都想逃避。BABY你就是我的唯一，两个世界都变心，回去谈何容易？'力宏就像写出了他还留在沙滩上的脚印，还留在生命中的那些怀念和不舍，直到当时还无法释怀的深情……”他叹口气说。
"In 2001's 'Wei Yi', after awakening that morning and then taking a stroll on the sandy beach, 'Has a star changed its heart, the desires from before have all been abandoned. Recently, I've been finding it hard to breathe, I even want to avoid my own shadows. “我知道力宏从来没有怪过她，在许多事情上，他其实是非常呵护，为她着想的，他认为自己没有足够的时间陪她，但只要有真心和诚意来弥补，一定可以感到她。他认为长久的爱情，是真心付出和心灵的分享。只可惜事与愿违……，我们都为他们遗憾，因为她其实还爱着他的，只是她没有办法接受一个经常不在她身边的男朋友啊，我也因此明白，在力宏心中，两个人不等于我们的感慨。”他说。
"I know Leehom never blamed her, during many incidents, he was actually very protective, always considerate of her feelings. He believed that he did not spend enough time with her, but he could make up for this, as long as he showed he truly loved her and was sincere, then she would definietly be touched. He believed that long relationships, are shared/enjoyed by the mind through giving your heart out, truly. Only too bad it didn't happen this time......we also felt regret for them, because she actually still loved him, but she just couldn't accept a boyfriend that would often not be by her side, and from this, I understood, in Leehom's heart, the feelings of 'Liang Ge Ren Bu Deng Yu Wo Men'." He said.
那是我极爱的一首歌，在“空屋子里没有回声，但我记忆有你指纹。我加上你，两个人不等于我们……”，在第一次听这首歌时，曾经心酸得留下眼泪。
I extremely liked that song, "In the empty room there is no sound of replies, but your fingerprints are in my memory. Me and you, two people don't equal us......", the first time I listened to it, my heart felt so wretched I cried.
“‘毕竟只是太短的爱，彼此终于回到陌生。'——直到听见这首歌，我知道力宏终于把这段感情放下了……，化成一种平静和沉淀，成为那首跟大家分享一种历程的歌。”他说。

No one has had a more profound influence on personal devolopment than my two older brothers. They have always taken care of me and looked after me, and when I need advice they're always the ones I turn to first growing up. I worshipped them for they were the ones who watched television with me, who played games with me and who guided my shaky steps through toddlerhood.

Moreover my interests have been shaped by those of my brothers. For example, I have come to share my second brother's passion for music . Before he left home tor college, he used to play his guitar and sing for me , instilling in me a deep appreciation for the art. I love to sing and I play the drums and the piano, which I have studied for eleven years, In addition I have adopted my eldest brother's love of language . He is the most intellectual member of the family; his breadth and depth of knowledge have always impressed everyone. It is my perennial aspiration that one day my own erudtion might rival his.

I recall the first time that my second brother went to college and left me at home brotherless. I cried for day; the only people I could think of to whom I might turn for comfort were they. That is still true whenever l am troubled I know I can call them, whether I desire to reason out my problems or simply to rant. However I hardly ever see either of them these days my second brother has become a popular musicion in Asia and the eldest is studying in another state for his M.D/PH.D. in immunology. As for me , I am about to emerge from the familiar territory of my home and begin the next stage of my life. Once more I will need the guidance of my brothers but soon it will be time for me to make my own path.
