I noticed that elsewhere on that site she mentions wanting to get a boyfriend. She said the same thing around this time last year. There can't be a shortage of willing candidates, maybe she has extremely high standards. Anyone heard any juicy rumors?

It may be sad, but I... don't like her anymore. I'm not offending ppl who like her, because I used to like her. In Nobute she was awesome, but after that her every role was the same and it made me kind of dissapointed. After Nobuta I watched Hana Kimi, Innocent love, Chance!. AtaDan, Kurosagi and I was like "Maki what's happening with you?!". she just made her characters dull (aside from innocent love - the character she played was like that so it was good).
Maki's such a pretty girl - maybe she just doesn't choose her roles correctly. : (
(People - sorry if I made some of you mad - it wasn't for that really! On one forum I wrote that I liked Ella as Mizuki more than Maki, because just was funnier and less annoying - that wasn't really Maki fault more because of the Japanese freaking scenario, but whatever - and I was insulted or whatever word it'll be in English).

I don't really think she chooses them. It's her agency, who decide which dorama can she play in. But please correct me if I'm wrong.
It's funny, because I like this cute-and-clumsy character of her's. But if you don't like it, there are many SP-s she played serious roles, like Tokyo Daikushu, or this upcoming SP too.
I don't think anyone here gets mad at you  also, I get your point too. But it's not Maki, who changed she is the same Maki we like. But now, she focuses on her carrier more (or well, her agency does), and she get voice-roles (Doraemon, Fly me to the moon, Layton movie), and bigger projects, like movie. So please don't give up on her, okey? ^^
(In the tw version of Hanakimi, I didn't like how Ella played Mizuki's role. She was a bit unnatural many times, she made weird faces. But! I think the secario, the other people at school and the friendships were different. Maybe because they really made a dorama version of the original manga. The japanese version is different, it is a dorama, based on the manga, but they changed many things and focused more on the Ikemen  no offense ok?  )_________________  |
