@chiisana_tantei: i noticed that the file size is a bit bigger since eps 12, is this because you updated your software or because you used a higher bitrate?

you're definitely missing out if you don't watch this version...especially when you should watch anything with Liu Yi Fei in it. I just rewatched the 83 version...this 2006 version puts more emphisis on YG and XLN love. I felt that it was kinda lacking in the 83 version in the beginning. Better fight scenes and the story flows really smoothly, if you already know whats suppose to happen in the beginning...they cut that out mostly. Also has a nice soundtrack!
Duke of mount deer 2000 is one of my favorites...I like dicky cheung, and think hes a good actor...though maybe alot disagree, but i watch almost all his movies when they come out. And plus, who can compare to a movie where it has both Athena Chu and Ruby Lin. I don't know how they can cast a better group of seven girls later on, and I don't think anyone can play a better Xiaobao...so we'll have to see when they remake it.

I have only watched version 1995. That one was my favorite. Now i'm watching this version.
Of course characters are changed and filmgraphic is improved much. About the story, it flows as version 1995. But at some points it is different. Finally I can say that this one is touching and you will enjoy. thanks.

I think this verison is closer to the book than the 95 version.

| Even though I like this version too, I still like the 1995 one. I dont know, I just think Carmen is a better actress than this girl. This girl only looks good from the front, but from the side, she errrg not that good looking. Carmen looks good from every angle. And also Louis Koo looks better and when he cry his eyes look better and very touching. Plus when Louis koo hair turns white, dammmmmmm, I'm not a gay or anything, but he look madd cool. Oh well, I still love the concept of it. Just wish they have better looking actresses, that more enjoyable to watch. I'm not complaining, still dling episode 13.

| I agree 95 was real good and i admit it seems like they had way more better chemistry(watched it in Vietnamese, there voices were good) and i agree carmen lee was better as a XLN but as for YG louis koo was more matureish throughout the whole movie and hes a pretty good actor but i disagree with YG's looks this one hes sooooooo much cooler! and XLN's look shes really cute but the thing that i dunt like as much is she looks to young >.< anyways finished DL!

Carmen was beautiful as XLN. But her acting was no where near LYF. Carmen was so stiff most of the time.
Louis was the weakest in term of acting. Andy Lau and Chris Lee were the best mischeivous young YG. HXM is the best mature YG. HXM is the only YG that looks like a Legendary Hero after the 16 years seperation. The older version...they look like scholars. LOL
