I was referring to episodes 2 to 5. Are you talking about the ending? Even so, we don't know if they had any children.

One thing we should keep in mind is the actor Huang Xiaoming who plays YG on this series is at least 30 yrs old... Someone who's that age and plays a 17-19 yrs old character is awkward but that's the way it is. That's why when he acts childish and playful might look awkward to the audience because his look shows he's an adult, and not a typical teenager.

On this series (from episode 5 and onwards) we've seen so far, Huang supposed to act out YG's personality just as childish and playful.

HSDS is set 100 years later. The only reoccuring returning character is Chang San Feng who was in his teens during ROCH, though he usually don't make it into adaptions. Guo Xiangs in the beginning though, and lots of events and characters from LOCH and RoCH are mentioned though. The heavenly sword and dragon sabre were forged from YG's sword by Guo Jing and Huang Rong.

Its arguable YG and XLN return to the tomb. Guo Xiang spent years searching for them, and I'm sure she would have checked the tomb several times through out her wandering.
Anyone got a verfiy on that 10 years in the tomb thing. ROCH's got a historical time frame, wouldn't changing that sorta change the time line a little. I'm fairly certain YG is about 19 or early 20's at this point.
Hidden:
It can't be anymore than a 10 months to a year til the 16 years, given Huang Rong's pregnancy and I don't think they had Guo Xiang for very long. The story ends when he's 36, so 36-16= 20. Also doesn't YG assassinate a khan or something, I don't think the director could just change dates like that.

yea what year is the series i should watch of HSDS?
cause i just DL the 2003 version and i dunt see any guo xiang >.< in the first 3 eps

I dont think they mentioned Guo Xiang in that version. However, I'm pretty sure that the '86 verison has the part about guo xiang. This ver. has tony leung and kitty lai.
The '03 ver. does mention the descendants of YG and XLN, somewhere near the end of the series. She is supposed to be even better than the evil lady that loves the main guy (sorry I dont remember their english name).

What the wikipedia says doesn't matter...I'm saying that this version...he did, go check back to episode 9 and he says its been 10 years since peach blossom island. Go back to episode 2 when they were having the yearly duel and YG shifu said hes been teaching him for half a year...then he runs away. So, half a year + less than a year at peach blossom island, 10 years minus that and thats how long he stayed with XLN in the tomb

Just watch it for Zhao Minh, the Mongolian princess played by Alyssa Chia. She's just an eye candy!
Of course, watch it for the sequel too. They have good fight scenes.

hmm i think imma give up on watching HSDS hahah its like 40 eps long >.< and if it doesnt mention anything about ROCH in this 03' series i rather watch something shorter >.<

Actually, I have been downloading that series for about 2 weeks now. Got most of the episodes downloaded. However, this ROCH series is my top priority to watch at the moment.
