We have warned everyone repeatedly on the issue of hardsubbing & streaming our subs.
We sincerely appreciate everyone's efforts to spread the drama love,
but we're growing increasingly frustrated, not to mention worried,
over our repeatedly ignored requests not to upload our material to Veoh, YouTube and other streaming sites.
Perhaps you guys aren't aware of the problems facing WITH S2,
but the flagrant disregard for our requests puts us in an increasingly vulnerable position as a fansubbing group.
We don't want to be shut down (which is something we are in constant threat of)
and if our rules are not honored, we may well be.
Therefore we once again make this request:
Please do NOT harsub and upload any of our subtitles to streaming sites.
If people do not comply, we will be forced to stop releasing our subtitles
for ALL our current projects until the request is met, full stop.
We regret that we have to take such a drastic stance,
but our requests have gone ignored for the past year.
There's not much more we can do to protect ourselves
and to continue bringing these dramas to fans,
but we believe that taking these precautions now will keep us operational for the long run.
And we hope to keep bringing these dramas to English-speaking fans for a long time.
announcement:KST has decided to drop this project:
Quote:
With heatfelt appreciations, we would like to thanks those who have been in supportive of our new endeavor. Your encouragements and/or comments are invaluable to KST as a whole, and we sincerely thank you. Everything must have a small beginning, and to us, yesterday was a new beginning, and you were a wonderous part of that special moment in time for us.
With that said, however, at this time, we have a sad announcement to make. It is with a heart full of regrets that CICHLID of KST is here today to advise you of our decision to drop the English Subbing Project for the two dramas: Hong Gil Dong and Robbers. These two dramas are very close and dear to our hearts, because they are in essence our "first children" and we would love to be able to pursuing the English subbing for these two series, but due to the close friendship and out of respects for WITHS2, KST will leave the Hong Gil Dong and Robbers in their capable hands. Despite our previous announcement and proposal of alliance with Mily2 and WITHS2, but in view of the new announcement recently released by WITHS2 and their two year anniversary landmark, friendship and repects aside, yielding the floor to WITHS2 at this time seems appropriate and in line with our main interest, make friends not war along the journey of providing quality subtitles to Korean dramas' fans worldwide.
KST and CICHLID will return in the very near future with another English subtitle project. In view of this unfortunate event, the next English subbing project by KST will be announce way in advance to prevent duplication of efforts, as well as avoiding any future conflicts with any other English subbing groups. As we see it, the more the merrier and each of the subbing group is unique in their own way, and the viewers will benefit directly from any healthy, friendly rivalry. Agree? Once again, thank you for all your show of supports thus far. Please continue to watch for KST and keep us in your heart, we are counting on your supports in the near future for our next Project.

So, Hong Gil Dong and team didn't die, right? Got a bit confused because in the last episode it seems they all died, but in episode 1, they were all alive.
Are there other similar dramas like this or Four Gods subbed here? Any recommendation and advice? Would be very nice

First, this was a great series. Funny, sad, action, drama, etc. Had it all.
Now then...

I'm disappointed in the ending as well. I'm with livinz_soljah, I'm not too optimistic...well, I'm not optimistic at all! I think they did all die. I believe in the beginning of the show (episode 1) they're just showing one of their exploits while they were all together.
The time line just got lost in the shuffle in all the episodes. Only one episode mentioned it was 1 year later, otherwise you never really know how many years have passed...and they never go back to that again, even at the end.
I just thought that they give you this false sense that they'll all be fine at the end of the series, given the first scene of the show, then...nothing. I think I'd be more at ease if they never showed that first scene because the whole series, I'm thinking..."it'll all be okay, they'll all be fine..." Was I sorely mistaken! But I will say that you never see them actually die at the end. But then again they keep saying how Hong Gil Dong is immortal, etc. Giving me the feeling he just lives on in the people's hopes, you know?
Bottom line, the ending was highly disappointing. It was still a great series though!
