YDY and icefish provide the source of most of the cDrama torrents that we UL here.
Which do you like better? Why?
YDY
pro: hi-qual encodes at small filesizes, fast-forward possible, wide variety of material (variety, movies, dramas, sports, etc)
con: irregular releases, projects sometimes get abandoned and never picked up again ...
Icefish
pro: concentration on twVariety/variety b'cast in TW. dependable.
con: larger filesize for same qual, no fast-forward.
BTChina
This is an aggregator site,
pro: wide variety, comprehensive,
con: often hard to connect to, IE only, too many dupes_________________ Jdrama Chinese fansub index 2006 | 2007

BT China works with firefox | problem with YDY variety show is that they are not consistent. They'll publish one week and drop the next, with no warning or telling you that they are skipping.
BTChina doesn't work for me on FF. It just shows the table with no entries. Maybe you instaled the activex plug-in? I avoid that for the security risk_________________ Jdrama Chinese fansub index 2006 | 2007

| You pretty muched summed it up.^_^ Icefish has weird sounds sometimes ands its not as clear as ydy so I prefer ydy. BTChina doesn't work on Firefox? Hmms...I can use it but the downloads are never complete so I must use a download manager to get the full torrent file. Such a pain.

I can usually get abt 100+ from their tracker | Speed is usually a function of the UL of the peers you're connected to. It seemed pretty normal when I got guessx3 from them. tho DGD took a long time because I jumped on too early and there was only one seeder.
Tho icefish seemed particularly fast last night, I pulled 400kBps+ for a couple of hours and completed all my DLs Usually, the weekends are slow for me ..._________________ Jdrama Chinese fansub index 2006 | 2007

Hmmz i think thats the prob with YDY and (Icefish?) I guess
They need to keep a ratio
Otherwise lots of people are just gonna hit and run
Anyway my DL speed is staring to pick up =)
Update : OMG the speed dropped again
I just checked and there is like only 1 seeder and 2000+ leeches =/
This is the worst speed i am getting so far from their tracker

for a long while ydy had reliability problems (as in missing eps and never backfilling). But they've seemed to improved alot in that area. Overall, ydy downloads are much faster
icefish is still better in terms of reliability of releases. also, they've seemed to improve on the audio of their releases (used to be so staticky that you can't understand a thing someone is saying).
But right now I'm pissed at icefish because it refused to work with firefox over the weekend and I had to use Internet exploder to load it_________________ Jdrama Chinese fansub index 2006 | 2007

Honestly, none of them I like. First of all, I never like rmvb. No doubt the file size is small but quality is junk. Hard to convert and add subtitle in. You can only watch on media player. Most time after you convert to avi it is so out-of-syn especially audio. With avi file if the series is good I convert to dvd. Very seldom you'll hear that the audio and sub is out of syn with avi. Maybe I am spoilt. I like good quality stuffs.
So far, I notice the K-drama and J-drama quality is very good and those subbers did great job on the English subtitle unlike the Chinese series. It would be nice if they can achieve such standard and upload avi instead of rmvb file.
