| thanks for the sub. but the subs kind appear way before the dialogue though. the timing is quite far apart. but thanks anway. maybe i cause got teh dvd version one.

| I was wondering why subbers don't sub the dvd version instead? Will there be subs for that too later on?

I think you are using the wrong version....the file size for the rmvb version episodes 1 that it works with is 123,663KB.
if you don't have a version of that copy, you should be able to use a program like subtitle workshop to shift all the subtitles appropriately for the version you have.
I don't have a copy of the dvd rmvb that is floating around so I have no way of syncing it up for you. maybe when my dvd set comes in I will sync it up with that instead....

for me, the reason why is that the dvd is a taking a damn long time to get to me in the mail...i already ordered 2 copies...1 from tigercool and 1 fom yesasia..and neither one have arrived yet...so when it arrived I will be syncing it to that version that I have.

The dvd versions have a longer runtime per episode then the vcds, thus making the first half 20 eps as opposed to 24. Oddly though the dvd rips all seem to vary, some include the intro, some do not.. whether they are like that on the dvds themselves is unknown... but it does make timing for subbers a hell of a lot more difficult.
These subs work with my version of ep 1 as well, size 142.043k.

I provide here the .rt file for you guys so you dont have to use the program.
Get the files here

There are two files to download:
1) .smil file
2) .rt file
You should already have episode 1's .rmvb file. If not, go here and download them:

So, once you have the three files, here's what you do.
Suppose the 3 files are named: 01.rmvb, 01.smil, and 01.rt
Suppose you are at C:\
Create a folder called "Source" and put 01.rmvb and 01.rt there. Put your .smil file at C:\
So, the three files should be at
C:\01.smil
C:\Source\01.rt
C:\Source\01.rmvb
Using real player, open 01.smil file. You should now be able to view the first episode with both English and Chinese subtitle on the bottom. I intentionally put the English sub-title on the bottom because I think it's good for learning Chinese.
