I disabled uploading of avatars to the server, i didn't think it would stop showing all the currently uploaded avatars Crazy anyway, the user base is growing quickly and the server just won't be able to continue to handle storing and displaying that many avatars so I have decided to only allow off-site avatars. All you have to do is upload your avatar to free sites like photobucket.com and link it from there in your profile.

If you don't want to view avatars or signatures then you can turn it off.
Goto Profile->Profile Settings->Reading
and adjust your settings.

Avatar and Signature sizes rules

Avatar:

  • Max resolution of 120x120px
  • animated gifs should not be larger than 200kb in filesize.


Signatures:
  • Max 4 lines of text (no wrapping)
  • Max 2 images
  • image (combined) max width of 500px
  • image (combined) max height of 175px

anyway, it's done Smile resized ava to 120x83px & sig to 500x125px

wrapping means the line is so long that it continues onto the next line. Basically that means it will count as 2 lines.

did you make sure in your "options" that your signature will show up with each post? if not then just put a check beside where it says: attach signature; its below the post box... where u have options for how you want your posts to be.

doesn't look like many folks read the announcements...

what i'm interested in though is the siggy width limitation...
it seems a wider sig wouldn't distort the page setup, is this for quicker page loading purposes?

having wider sigs on ppls screen that dont have a big picture resolution, mean that the post wont do the wrapping thing and have to side scroll >_< aii hate doing that the most!!

oh yeah, that makes sense, huh? didn't think about that one, i hate that too when people have immensely huge avatars...
i didn't think about wider sigs doing the same to people with lower resolutions... gomen...
