Hi everyone, I'm new here but I've been visiting this site regularly. I wanna say a BIG THANK YOU to all the subbers for Jdrama since they do a wonderful job. I'd like to contribute too. I'm in my 3rd year japanese in college, and my listening skills are okay, still working on it. Does anyone know how I can get in any fansub group? Anyone wants to adopt me?

p.s. I can help w/ chinese subbing too, it's alot easier for me. =D

download a .srt file and open it with notebook. It's pretty easy to understand.

Getting the timing right is the only hard part. Although I'm not sure you have enough japanese to translate a drama (unless you had previous experience before college).

Fansub groups are looking for translators all the time... Smile

Try contacting one of the groups listed under the "Drama Sites" menu on the main page.

If you want to get a feel for fansubbing first then you could try working on a small project on your own. For example, try subbing a special or maybe one episode of a series. There are a few series where the episodes are no longer than 15-25 minutes.

Sometimes fansub groups post in this forum saying that they're looking for translators, you could look out for that too.

Would you be interested in subbing Brother Beat(we need alot of help here) or Konya Hittori No Beddo(no subber now). Just let me know(PM me). Both are Fall season dramas.

Hope to see both Hyun Bin and Kim Sun Ah together again in a teledrama!!!!
