^mrdummy PM'ed me before posting this. I referred him here as there aren't as many resources to obtain help w/ fansubbing movies (as opposed to anime fansubber recruiting, which is NOT permitted here). Some places geared to Asian movies such as FS Seeders are not as easy to join and post. FS Seeders is not accepting members so that doesn't leave much of an option for fansubbing help. Many asian movie sites seem like mostly leecher population, IMHO. So, I directed mrdummy to post here in search of an editor w/ Japanese knowledge and a timer. He has the video and a translator.

As stated, movie torrents are not permitted here, but I thought this would be fine to post here. If anyone could direct him to more options, that would be helpful, but I feel this is okay to stay for now Smile

I came here because the experience of Japanese fansubbing here. Tenkousei is not a TV serie, but fansub work should be similar a with tv series.

I don't know another places where i can ask for help. I know the anime forums and manga forums, but that is different area.

Perhaps i should look at some TG sites and forums, to find people with same interests and the willing to fansub the movie. Scratching chin

And i shall not put the link to the movie here. It's only between the translators and me. Smile

I tell ya fellah... Japanese drama fans are different from Japanese movie fans. In your earlier posts, your logic seems to be based on the idea that when it comes to fansubbing, dramas and movies are the same. Other than having moving pictures and spoken Japanese, the two are quite different. Drama fansubbers are simply drama fans who can translate to English, and their drive to fansub dramas are the same reasons that most drama fans watch the dramas - the actors, the plot, the fashion, and so forth.

You just don't have those qualities in a movie. If the movie had a link somehow to Japanese pop culture, then it would have a good chance of getting fansubbed. But this movie doesn't seem to fit the taste of the fansubbers here. Fansubbers don't just sub stuff because it is there. In another topic, I mentioned that less than 50-percent of the Japanese dramas aired each season is fansubbed within one year after airing. Movies have even a less chance of getting subbed.

So just because you haven't received any response from your request doesn't mean they don't want to help you. You haven't received any responses because it doesn't fit well with the drama fansubbers. That's how I see it. Also, you're going about this all wrong! If you want to really sell a RAW to be fansubbed, you've got to provide ALL the information - links to information about the movie is a start. People like myself aren't going to out of our way to Google the information. It's your request - you've got to sell the movie to the fansubbers.

I see. Thanks for explaination, groink.

Thanks for timing offer, bbgirl03.
I shall contact you for timing. The fansubbing is still in progress. When it's ready, you have my message.
We can use SRT format. No problem.

Thank you.
