I am a new fan of Junichi Okada after watching Tiger and Dragon, and I almost fainted when I learned that he was the lead in Kisarazu Cat's Eye. He looked so much like Ando Masanobu with his haircut in Cat's Eye. I can't keep my eyes off of him, that I kept messing up reading the subs. I had to watch the 1st 10 minutes twice. sweating

Here goes another obsession. Sometimes, I don't think it's a good thing to be obsessed...I can't get anything done when I'm under the throes of fangirling.

I'm posting this under the Okada Junichi thread because he's the one of the main voice actors for Miyazaki Goro's Gedo Senki and since the movie is not related directly to j-dramas I didn't want to make a new thread.

The song by Aoi Teshima is quite pretty, though not as memorable as Kimura Youmi's "Itsumo nando-demo."

Reports in the US (which will only get it after 2009, if at all, because Earthsea rights have already been bought by another company) have mostly focussed on the controversies over the switch in directors (from Miyazaki Sr to Miyazaki Jr), the "dispute" with Ursula LeGuin regarding this switch as well as the differences between the books and the film in adaptation.

I loved the books when I was younger, though I understand that this is a pretty loose interpretation of the originals, as is with many Studio Ghibli book adaptations.

Anyhow, what I'd like to know is, has anyone here seen the movie? Opinions? Please share your thoughts if you have.

I haven't watch the movie personally, but I've been seeing a lot of.... not-so-good reviews about it. Even so though, I'm interested in hearing Junichi's voice acting because despite of the movie, I do hear that his voice is very sexy (couldn't find a better word).

okada junichi..the 1st time i see him in tokyo tower..bu i dislike this movie..i dont know why..
but i like jun and him..^__^
he also good as bussan in kisarazu cat eyes..adorable sick person..^__^
